Here is our kitchen, where we spend alot of time cooking, baking and even making crafts!
Next is my collection of teacups. I have only been drinking tea for a few years. My mom always tried to get me to drink it while I was growing up but I didn't like it. I wish I would have tried harder. We could have had some nice tea times.
I brought the teacups back from Canada when I visited 1 1/2 years ago. I wasn't planning on such souvenirs! I was talking to my mom about how much I wanted some teacups and she said, "It's too bad you weren't here about 6 months ago, I went to a yardsale where the lady was selling boxes of them."
I talked her into taking me to the town where the sale was and trying to find the house. I'll do anything for a bargin! We found the street and my mom narrowed it down to two houses. The first one, the lady just looked at me funny when I explaned what I was looking for but pointed me next door. The next house was the right one and the lady was so nice! She invited my sister and I down into her basement and pulled out some boxes full of teacups! My sister helped me pick them out and I got 6 of them for $20.00. $15.00 american!
I had to get another suitcase just to bring them home. :0)
This is a picture of my version of a piesafe. Pie being my favorite dessert, it is only right that I have a piesafe. :) I kept looking on ebay but the prices were way to high for me. I found this hutch at the resale store, painted it, put on vintage glass knobs and Phillip replaced the glass with screen. It is empty right now but I normally having some baked item inside.
Here is where I keep all my letter writing things. I love to write letters so I keep everthing by the kitchen table. Grace and Emily have a couple of penpals they write too also.
Kelli I love the china it is so pretty. I admire your tea cups, in fact,I'm down right jelous! I love the way you have them displayed too. My paternal Grandmother lives just a few miles from Canada, loves tea. It is because of her that Danny & I love to drink hot tea. A Georgia boy drinking hot tea, LOL! I'm coming to Kelli's Tea Room!! Do you have any scones?
