Thank you for your sweet comments about my spring decorations! We have had a busy week with school work, a little spring cleaning and working out in the garden. Today, I picked up some strawberry plants and the girls and Benjamin are excited about picking the first red berries!
Easter is one month away so I wanted to share some Easter decorations around my house....
This little bunny has a basketful of jellybeans to share. As you can see, Phillip has been taking him up on the offer. ;0)
I found these Victorian decoupaged Easter eggs at a store called World Market. I hung them from my china cabinet handles.
This is my favorite one...
I hung the rest on my "piesafe" knobs.
A mini trifle dish filled with Easter eggs sits on my fireplace mantle.
This little chick and bunny are actually salt and pepper shakers.
Also on the kitchen table is this bunny pulling a wagon of hazelnut chocolate candies, shaped like carrots. They won't last until Easter!
These next two pictures aren't of Easter decorations, but I wanted to show you my new living room lamps. I haven't had any luck finding two matching lamps at the resale stores but I found some on sale for $14.99 each. I noticed the tables were a little dusty so I got out my duster and ended up cleaning the whole room!
Here is a view of our living room....we do a lot of our schoolwork in here, plus watch movies and hang out together, so I asked Phillip to take a quick picture while it was still clean. ;0)
I hope you all are having a great week. The weekend is almost here!
The new lamps are great, sort of "vintage" looking. They look terrific in your living room.
ReplyDeleteI love all the Easter decorations. I can't believe it's just a month away!
Oh Kelli, what a beautiful living room! I liked all your pictures but especially the one with the little cottage with your last name on it. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI love all the easter eggs you have. I haven't really collected any Easter stuff yet for decorating but hope to soon. I love your living room. It is big and open!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter decorations are just lovely...it actually surprised me when you mentioned it's just a month away! I hadn't realized it!! Your lamps are gorgeous and fit the room so well!! Where did you get your speckled eggs that you put in that trifle bowl? I'm looking for some like that but can't find them! xox
ReplyDeleteWhat cute decorations! We have a World Market here too, I love that place! Mmm..can't wait for fresh picked strawberries, we have several farms that let you pick your own around here. Strawberries are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that those "big pink ball like flowers" on my blog are called "Allium Globemaster". I've recommended them to Anita over @ My counry cottage garden (she has just posted about them in her last post)and a few other German gardeners last year and they have all planted the big bulbs in September 2006 and are now eagerly awaiting their big blossoms this May/June too. To find them just put "Allium Hybride Globemaster" in your search machine like Google. It is a must have in a garden I say lol
Your living room with the easter decorations looks so cosy!
Have a beautiful weekend! xox
Lovely living room, very calm and cosy!
ReplyDeleteI do an Easter Party here in Japan for my English school children, but up north where we are, the snow remains on the ground until the end of April. So this year's party has been scheduled for the 13th MAY! Ah well, the Easter Bunny will be well rested ready for his long trip across the water!
Hi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI think your decorations are gorgeous, and the little cottage in the first picture looks like it's straight out of a storybook!
We have a WM here, too, and I like those eggs so much, I may be paying them a visit very soon!
I think we have the same lamps - mine is in my hall. Your living room is very, very cozy and welcoming. I like your idea for the quilts, too.
Have a great week-end with your loved ones!
Karen
Kelli you really have a knack for decorating. I wish I did. I love the lamps & all the decor.
ReplyDeleteThose are all gorgeous! You always inspire me.
ReplyDeleteKelli - everything looks so lovely! And we have a World Market here; I just saw it this week. I've never been to one before, but I know where our next field trip will be - lol!
ReplyDeleteOh - regarding your cozy living room with your cute new lamps -- love the leather sofas! I highly recommend leather to people with lots of children - practically indestructible! [not that this is an issue in our house or anything *rolling eyes*!] :oD
Kelli, your living room is perfect, so welcoming and cozy! I just love the decoupage eggs you found, they are just so pretty. Unfortunately, we don't have a World Market here:( Everything is certainly looking lovely in your springtime home:)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing - you have captivated with your various "may I say - vintage" items.
ReplyDeleteA sense of victorian charm with a warmth which you have kindly shared here.
Luv your blog.
Thank you
