More Easter Crafts

Hello everyone. We have been working out in the garden the last few days and also making some more Easter crafts.

My friend Susan shared the idea for these bunny napkin ring holders. Grace and Emily glued mini pom-poms on for the tails and we secured them with a small piece of scotch tape.

These next two crafts are from Martha Stewart. A soft basket make from pipe cleaners, make a good home for two little chicks.

The girls and Benjamin did a great job on their baskets!

I wasn't going to post these pictures because I don't like how they turned out, but then I thought maybe you've never seen a "Bunny rat."

I'm pretty sure they bite and even worse they smell like boiled eggs. ;0)

They have cute little bunny tales but it doesn't seem to help. Poor things!

Last night we dyed our eggs and today we will decorate them with glitter and stickers. Then they go into baskets and Saturday night the Easter Bunny exchanges them for Peeps and other Easter candy. Hopefully some chocolate. :0)

Having fun with all the colors...

While chicks and bunnies are lots of fun, Grace drew a picture of what we will be really celebrating this Easter Sunday. The Empty Tomb--Matthew 28:1-10.

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. Mark 16:6

From my family to yours, may you have a joyous Easter celebration.

  21. Oh Kelli, everything turned out so wonderful! I love those little chicks and baskets. I have the magazine, but it'll have to wait 'til next year. So much inspiration, so little time. Did you see the Jennifer Murphy segment? Martha has a video in case you missed it. She shared instructions for making one of her sweet wool pom pom rabbits wearing a cupcake liner skirt. I think you'd like making one of those too! It'd be a sweet addition to any springtime display. I happened upon some fancy cupcake liners at the cake decorating store yesterday....now I have to make one!
Happy Easter to you and your lovely family!
