Our Christmas~2007
Thank you for all your wonderful Christmas notes in my previous post! Our Christmas celebrations began on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. We went to our church's beautiful candlelight service where we sang Christmas carols and listened to the story of the birth of Christ.
Afterwards, a friend joined us for a Christmas Eve dinner.
We had roast beef, potatoes, carrots and homemade macaroni and cheese.
Gingerbread with caramel sauce and whipped cream for dessert.
Before bed the girls and Benjamin made some food for Santa's reindeer. They love oats and cookie sprinkles!
They sprinkled it along our front walkway.
Then it was time to open new Christmas pajamas. Before Phillip took this picture, I told them to pretend they like each other. ;0)
Christmas morning came bright and early. The girls and Benjamin checked to see if the reindeer had eaten their food. :0)
We had a wonderful time opening gifts together...
Even Fern got a new toy!
Warm cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Later that afternoon we went to Nana and Papa's house for a ham and turkey dinner. Thank you for looking at just a few pictures of our fun Christmas! I'll be back soon for Show and Tell Friday!
Dear Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased to read that Sant's reindeer found the way to your home! ;-))
How thoughtful that even Fern got a new toy ;-))
We had a merry Christmas too and I am now looking forward to some relaxing days before we have to get back to work ... next year!
I am looking forward to Show & Tell tomorrow and I am wondering what "Show" you will be sharing with us, maybe some of your Christmas gifts?
By the way, it has been pretty sunny but VERY cold around here on Christmas and we even go some (very little) snow on Sunday evening! But it soon melted away, what a pity. So my wish for a white Christmas did not come true...
Have a cosy evening (it's 11.30 p.m. over here now).
Hugs, Anita
I enjoyed your Christmas post very much. It was almost like being there!

ReplyDeleteGood Evening Kelli,
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a great Christmas. We had a pretty good one as well. I love your Poinsetta Dishes. I have a set that my Mom bought me several years ago that I had on my table, but I ended up putting them up on my bar. I went to our local Dollar General Store earlier and I bought 4 Chargers to sit under them. I bought 2 Gold and 2 Red ones. They were half price, so I got all 4 of them for $4.00. They look real pretty under the Poinsetta Dishes. I'm sorry about the last Show & Tell Friday thing I did. I do hope you will forgive me. I just don't have a good camera to take real good pictures with. My Cell Phone Camera is all I have. I am Big on my Family. I will try and take some pictures tonight with my Cell Phone Camera and use them. Do you think maybe if I took a picture of my Poinsetta Dishes with the Chargers would be okay? You can let me know. Your beef roast with the veggies look so good. I love to have a roast with all the veggies in it. I usually put mine in the slow cooker. The roast just falls apart that way. You have some beautiful children. They look very happy there. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
Hugs,
Karen H.
P.S. I still don't know how to use the Mr. Linky thing. Maybe you could help me with that?
Looks awsome even as full as I am I could eat a ham sandwich lol.
ReplyDeleteKelli, what a fun evening and day y'all had! The children seemed to be enjoying themselves quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the reindeer ate up all the food that was left for them!!
Your roast looks soooooo good! I think next Christmas Eve I am going to make one! You have helped me make this Christmas the best ever and I thank you for that. I have learned so much from you!
ReplyDeleteWinter Blessings~
Kelly

YUMMY--the food always looks so yummy here. Your Christmas looked beautiful. I had to giggle, I say the same thing to my kids about pretending to like eachother for a picture...LOL:::shhh::::

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a good Christmas! The photos look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWe too had reindeer food (given to me free at a small shop where I purchased a few gifts) but the kids fell asleep before I realized that we hadn't put it out. Maybe next year.
Fern looks very happy with her toy. Our kitties are still enjoying the wrapping (and our daughters princess doll's hair).
Looks like the whole family had a great time over Christmas! How nice! The food on your table, as always, looks yummmmmy! You're such a good Mommy! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,

You got some great pictures of the kids opening their presents! Got any ham left over?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a beautiful Christmas, Kelli! We always used oats and glitter for our reindeer food. The glitter sparkles in the moonlight, you know. Though I'm sure that the sprinkles would taste much better, lol.
