Happy Valentine's Day!

Candy
Our Valentine's Day will begin with a special surprise: A card, mini puzzle and valentine candy. We will be busy with school work in the morning, but then take a break for...

Tea
...tea time in the afternoon. Not everything is sweet and romantic though, we are almost out of cat food, so there will be quick trip to the store afterwards. :0) Then back home to make homemade (hopefully heart shaped!) pizzas for dinner. What are your plans for the day?

All for Love

~Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends!~

  8. Hi Kelli, we always have lasagna for valentines and an appropriate dessert. When the kids were little I used to dress up the table with a crocheted table cloth and red napkins and red dinnerware. I always make them a valentine card and buy them some candy to put at their place setting. It is fun. We lite candles and have a candlelight dinner as a family. The kids are older now. My youngest is going to be 15 in a couple of weeks but they still love it. Thanks for all the inspiration. Terry

That sounds like fun! Valentine's Day with young ones is always a good time. I love the afternoon tea idea. I may stop and drink a cup with you today.

We are doing a special dinner with steak for the meat eaters and fresh roasted veggies. Then strawberries dunked in chocolate and heart shaped cookies for dessert.

    Happy Valentine's Day, Kelli.

  10. Very pretty as usual Kelli! My plans are to make the kids scrambled eggs, and then shape them into a heart using a cookie cutter. Heart shaped toast too.

Then we will be making cupcakes. Then going to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. The girls *love* Chick-fil-A. Then we will be going to vist Great Grandma, and have tea and cupcakes.

We will come home and eat Spaghetti for dinner.

    Happy Valentines Day!

  12. It sounds like you have a nice day planned! We will have a normal day with lots of things to do. First thing this morning I am taking our puppy in to get spayed. My youngest son has a basketball game this afternoon and then I will make a quick, but good dinner. I bought all the kids medium sized boxes of chocolates, that is what I have done since they were little and I got my husband a huge box with a card. We are going to go out for a dinner date this weekend.

Have a happy day! :0) Sharon

  17. last year, out of necessity, we postponed our Valentine's Day until the 15th.

This year the kids elected to do it that way again because they cleaned up in the gifts and candy department since everything was 75% off at the stores!

So, tomorrow for lunch we will have a party!

Happy Hearts Day, Kelli! I had a special meal planned for tonight - my husband's favorite "Spicy Chicken over Angel Hair," but he surprised me and we went out for lunch. We are both so stuffed that I'll save the Valentine's meal until tomorrow night. But I am giving a Valentine's luncheon for friends next week and will use some of your ideas. Thanks!

To celebrate today my husband and I exchanged a little gift for each other, went out for an awesome Chinese buffet for lunch and later tonight we'll be grillin' steaks in the snow! LOL

We got another 8 inches of the fluffy white stuff yesterday so I had to once again shovel off the grill. Our neighbors will be drooling, guaranteed. What a special day.
