"Show and Tell Friday!"
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Hello everyone! Since Valentine's Day is next week, I thought I would share some decorations around my house.
I got the idea for this valentine centerpiece from my friend Susan, at A Place Called Home. She challenged us to use things we already had around the house in a recent scavenger hunt post.
I sprinkled pink rose petals on a white table runner and added a few pink candles.
In between the candles, I layered a cake plate, doily, teacup saucer, and another candle on top.
Earlier this afternoon, I swapped out the candle for a teacup and filled it with candy hearts.
The girls and Benjamin like this display the best. I wonder why. ;0)
In the kitchen I hung a heart garland in the window.
I used vellum paper, so the sun could shine through.
Moving on to the entryway, I added a valentine banner to my moss wreath.
"All for Love"
Did someone ask what time it is?
It's time to...Love!
Dawn from The Feathered Nest recently shared a sweet clock trinket that she made, and I borrowed her idea to make these cards.
I added a paper stand to the backs and these will be the place cards for our Valentine's Day dinner. Thank you for the idea, Dawn!
And lastly, I turned my vintage keys into napkin rings!
The tag says, "The key to my heart."
Thank you for looking at my valentine decorations!
Show and Tell Guidelines
What is Show and Tell Friday?
Show and Tell involves showing something to an audience, and then telling them about it. Your show and tell must be something that you own, and is in your home or garden.
What items work well for Show and Tell Friday?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
-Family heirlooms
-A collection you may have
-A piece of jewelry
-A special gift
-Gardening pictures
What doesn't work well for Show and Tell Friday?
-Posts with no photos have no "Show." Please don't use them.
-Photos of events (trips, vacations, celebrations, etc.)
-Photos of things you are selling or planning to sell.
-Photos found on the internet, graphics or screenshots. Please use photos you take yourself.
-Old photos of just people instead of things.
There is no place like home is the original home of Show and Tell Friday. Please do not host your own.
How can I participate?
Once you've got your photo(s) and your story, it's easy as 1-2-3!
1 - Publish your "Show and Tell" on your blog, including a link back to There is No Place Like Home. Go HERE for the "Show and Tell" picture code to copy and paste into your post.
2 - Copy the link (or "permalink") from your post.
3 - Add it to Mr. Linky, along with your first name only. (This will make the list easier to read.) I usually put Mr. Linky up on Friday at 12:00am Eastern time.
If your name has been removed from Mr. Linky, please read over the guidelines before re-posting.

I don't know where to begin! Every single thing you've done for Valentine's Day is unique and clever and pretty. I have to say, though, that my favorite is the little heart banner with the plants in your kitchen window. Your plants are doing really well, aren't they. They look lush!
Nanyc

Oh Kelli, you set such a beautiful table. I absolutely love the place cards idea and the key napkin rings. I have to send my friends over again and see what you've down. BTW thanks for the freebies on Tues. And guess what. I finally did a show and tell. Come over and check it out. Yea me! I do love your show and tell. Blessings. Gotta go read about the bday party.
I agree with Cheryl--where do you get the time!! YIKES. I haven't been able to quite get in a Valentine decoration mood!! Last year I went all out--this year--just not into it!! I have been into cleaning ;-) and cleaning my clutter and moving furniture, again!! Ah well, I am happy. Man, it looks like you need to divide and conquer on all of these show and tells---there are about 50!! Will take all week to visit them!!
As always, your decorations are beautiful! I really like your heart garland made with the vellum!
BTW, I made two Valentine fans last night from your instructions at Seasonal Delights!
Blessings
Linda

Ita5 very pretty wow impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Friend,
I am not sure if my show and tell is ok for this meme this week... but for me its a look back at my daughter its her birthday today and I made a online slidshow of her through the years... if its not Show and Tell worthy just let me know, I will find something that will be.
Ok I just realized that my show and tell would be labeled as a celebration?, I will try and post a different S&T once my digital cam charges up:( sorry for the link
Very pretty, Kelli...you do seem to have the nicest holiday decorations!
You are creating memories for your family. It will be interesting to see what they will do when old enough to have their own homes.
Every thing looks so pretty. I really love what you did with the keys!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! We also enjoyed making the Valentine banner--though we didn't have enough lace trim to go all the way around each letter. They still turned out very pretty.
I love the idea with the vintage keys! I have a ton of them (they belonged to hubby's grandpa who was a locksmith a LONG time ago). Now I have an idea on what to do with them. :D
You have lovely things!
Kelli,
I love the key-napkin ring idea. Very cute!! I made your chocolate-cappucino muffins the other day and they were great, but my chocolate chips seemed to sink to the bottom. Do you have any idea why?
I love your blog!!
Thanks, Elise
