I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. The girls made me breakfast in bed and everyone gave me sweet and thoughtful gifts that they picked out. After church Phillip took me out to lunch and best of all, I got lots of hugs and kisses!
We had a relaxing afternoon at home and I want to show you a little something I worked on.
Last summer, this dirty and rusty red wagon was sitting out by the curb for trash pickup.
I brought it home, cleaned it and the it has come in handy for lots of different things.
It has even held summertime snacks!
I thought I would do something different this year.
I gathered up my various terra cotta pots.
And lots of flowers.
I filled the larger pots with potting soil and planted the flowers.
I filled the empty spots with all the smaller pots and saucers.
This is what I ended up with!
Who knows what our little wagon will be used for next year, but for now it seems to cheer up this spot in our front yard. Thank you for taking a look and I hope you have a great start to your week!
Kelli, what a cute idea. I too found a wagon similar to yours but for now mine is in the shed....I will have to think about what I will do with mine. But I like your idea a lot. Dianntha

ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful wagon idea. I have my own "Radio Flyer" which was given to me (a new one) last years as a gift. It is a wonderful helper in the yard.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea to do with the old rusty wagon. I'd be in trouble if I tried something like that as the grandkids love playing with our old Radio Flyer. It's rusty but goes like the wind. Maybe when they grow up I will give it a try.

Love it! One person's trash is another person's treasure. We used to have wagons like that for Cub Scout Day Camp...so if your son is going, it's a great way to carry stuff!!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I have my husband's red wagon from his childhood on my front porch. I also have the wagon that my inlaws bought and kept at their house for my kiddos. When the kids got older, the inlaws gave it to me! I treasure them both and use them together at Christmas.
