I was "puttering" around the house yesterday afternoon and noticed some little things that make me happy.
A simple centerpiece using a yellow dishtowel, a favorite plate and a few lemons.
A clean kitchen sink and dishes.
Fresh bread for dinner.
And a new embroidery book and pretty floss to drool over.
What simple pleasures are you enjoying today?

Those are things that make me happy too. I often console myself when doing the dishes, that I will soon have the pleasure of a clear kitchen!!
ReplyDeleteAnd who can resist home-baked bread? I love break-making too.
As for embroidery, well, just have a look at my blog and you'll see how I feel about that!
Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI love the simple sweet things in life! I enjoy a clean; fresh house; your lemons and centerpiece are lovely! I have enjoyed the sounds of life today. Birds singing; my granddaughter laughing and cooing; sweet fellowship with a family member who has come for visit from a long way; and chimes gently ringing in the breeze and blue skies!
My simple pleasure today is seeing my children all happy and playing cards on the livingroom floor. Won't be long and they are all gone. But I enjoy their laughter today.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your simple pleasure too. Colour buff here so those embroidery threads did it for me. I can breath the colours in.

What a sweet post. I love the simple pleasures. The bread looks so yummy. I actually could have taken a photo today of my kitchen too. All clean. Yea! Doesn't happen often. Tonight I have to wash and freeze a mound of blackberries for cobbler for our teen program and also a lot of asparagus. Probably won't get a completely clean kitchen tonight!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely home. I love the table centerpiece too.
I love your simple pleasures. I hope you don't min if I 'borrow' that idea for a future blog.
ReplyDeleteToday some of my simple pleasures were seeing my daisies ready to bloom, enjoying some sweet strawberries, bringing lunch to my folks, and driving with my sunroof open. I try to enjoy the simple pleasures of life each and every day.
hugs, Linda
Oh so pretty and what beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteI love the golden yellow lemons in the pretty plate. Lovely!
Simple things that I enjoyed today were sewing up some napkins that I made out of an old sheet, petting my cat while having a cup of coffee and sitting watching the birds out my front window.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder about simple pleasures Kelli. I need to remember them much more often.
God bless.
I love the bright yellow of the lemons and that beautiful plate. I'm glad the simple things make your day! It's good to take pleasure in the simple things of life. :)

What a lovely post, Kelli! I think we would all love to come "putter" around your house with you in person - for the fun of fellowship with you and for the atmosphere you create :)
ReplyDeleteMy most precious simple pleasures today were: listening to my sweeties as they talked and visited with my grandmother, picking up and enjoying another batch of fresh strawberries, and having the oppty to meet my sweet dh for lunch.
Love you! Q
OH! Everything is so pretty. It's kinda funny because just today I took a picture of a light green bowl with dark chocolate in it because of the color combination.Your lemons do look very pretty on the pretty plate.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening,
