Outside My Window...
Blue skies, green grass and baby mourning doves getting bigger every day.

I am thinking...
How I wish summer vacation could start now.

I am thankful for...
A lovely Mother's Day with my family.

From the kitchen...
Garlic and herb shish kabobs, corn on the cob and spinach salad.

I am wearing...
Blue jeans and my favorite yellow shirt.

I am creating...
Pressed flowers stationery.

I am going...
To the post office. I'll be getting some 1 cent stamps since the rate increased today.

I am reading...
Anne of Green Gables

I am hoping...
to get caught up on laundry.

I am hearing...
the early morning quiet.

Around the house...
Books to read, math lessons to complete, bedrooms to deep clean, and lots of free time for playing this afternoon.

One of my favorite things...
Fresh hot bread straight from the oven. I'd like to make some whole wheat oatmeal bread this week.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:

Monday-Benjamin's Cub Scout graduation
Tuesday-Grace's art class
Wednesday-Dental appointment for Emily
Thursday-Grocery shopping
Friday-Get ready for Phillip's birthday dinner

Here is a picture that I am sharing...

Kelli,

I've sent you an e-mail, but thought I'd post a comment here as well. I am SO excited to have won the drawing you offered over the weekend.

I feel pretty new at this blogging thing and I think this is the first giveaway I have entered -- and to think it comes from my favorite blogger!!!!! Really, your blog is an inspiration to me of hospitality and homemaking.

Thank you so much for your generosity, Kelli.

After I enjoy these books, I plan to share them with others. Did I already say how excited I am?!?

P.S. I LOVE the wagon planter. We have an identical one that has been long outgrown by our boys. I've used it most recently as a way to get my gardening stuff one one place to another in the yard. What a great idea the planter is, though!

I guess I know now to never get rid of it. ;^)

I enjoyed your daybook Kelli. You always have so many things happening and you're so good about sharing your wonderful ideas.
Your wagon planter is so cute. I have a similar one that I use for part of my kitchen herb garden.

OH, my favorite is fresh baked bread! I use a bread maker, but I had to quit setting it to be ready in the morning- the smell was waking everyone up too early :-)

Pressed flowered stationary? Sounds beautiful. How do you do it?

I adore Anne of Green Gables. My daughter (13) is reading the series now.

Beth, the pressed flower stationary is very easy to make. I press flowers and ferns between sheets of paper towel inside of a phone book. A few weeks later they are ready to be glued on to sheets of writing paper. Hope this helps!
