Outside My Window...
A bright and sunny day. It is starting to heat up here in Texas.
I am thinking...
that I need to have a good attitude about Mondays. :0)
I am thankful for...
a less busy week than last.
From the kitchen...
leftovers from Phillip's birthday cookout: grilled chicken, potato salad, sliced tomatoes, corn on the cob and chocolate ice cream.
I am wearing...
blue jeans and a black shirt.
I am creating...
a "Sunflower House." The sunflower seeds that I planted two weeks ago never came up, so I'm planting fresh ones this afternoon.
I am reading...
The Candlelit Home by John Terrell Fry
I am hoping...
to organize my sewing supplies.
I am hearing...
the washing machine. I am determined to keep caught up on laundry this week.
Around the house...
are bedrooms to be cleaned and letters to be written.
One of my favorite things...
celebrating birthdays.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Grace has her last art class of the year on Tuesday and we are having friends over on Friday.
Here is a picture that I am sharing...
Grace discovered a rabbit nest under our lavender plant. I will be careful not to get the babies wet with the hose.
Thank you for reading my Daybook!
I loved having a peak into your life today, Kelli. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI loved this idea, Kelli, so I pinched it and did it for my blog this evening too!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
And happy birthday to Phillip - looks like he had a really nice party! Yummm.
Loved your Daybook. This si such a neat idea.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to plant a sunflower house too and forgot. I need to do that soon. Im not entirely sure how but I suppose the Internet would tell me.
We did a sunflower house one year, it was so much fun! Pleae post pics when it comes up.
ReplyDeleteYour leftovers sound better than mine...LOL!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the sunflower house!☼
Also, I would not have know that was a rabbit nest!
Enjoyed your Daybook!☺
Oh how nice to share your day. It sounds lovely.
ReplyDeletethe squirrels probably ate your sunflower seeds :( Rosemary
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy this...really do.
ReplyDeleteOh that stinks about your sunflowers. I planted some mammoth sunflower seeds (these really get huge!) shortly after you did and the tiny seedlings are staring to shoot up...boy the two little leaves are small but thick and hearty when I touched them!! Hope it works for you the second time around!! =)
ReplyDeleteA sunflower house sounds intriguing~ what does it look like?
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli :) I love these daybook journal entries! You have such a precious heart. Love, Q
ReplyDeleteKelli,I was only in Teaxs once way back in August 1971.That was when I was in basic training at Lackland AFB.I did enjoy getting to see the Alamo, that was the best thing about being in basic training every thing else well that is debateable.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the little bunnies will smell like lavender? Did you buy new seeds? We had some seeds that never came up and I was thinking about buying plants. That's too bad about your sunflowers. I am sure you will succeed. Try, try again!

Kelli,
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea, I enjoyed reading your daybook. I have one but I'm not faithful to fill it in. It is more of a yearbook I ordered from Marmee Dear. Have you ever heard of her?

I don't usually like Mondays either but I accomplished a lot today so feel good about that. I didn't mention switching clothes around as I do each Fall and Spring. I did most of that today and reorganized the bonus room which is our storage room.

Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I found some wonderful recipes I can't wait to try. I especially like your 'morning room' idea. I can't wait to share it with my girls!
