Show and Tell Friday!

Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.

Thank you so much for the wonderful anniversary wishes earlier this week! Today I'm sharing a few of my wedding treasures.

Wedding dress
This is a picture of my wedding dress that I found in a magazine shortly after our wedding. My veil was very similar, but I wore my hair up.

Invitation
Our ivory embossed wedding invitation.

Cards
I kept all of the cards we received and put them in a photo album after our honeymoon.

Guest book
I also have our guest book.

Guest book
It's interesting to read all the names and wonder about the friends we haven't heard from in years.

Jewelry
My mom and dad gave me these fresh water pearls for my high school graduation and I wore them on our wedding day. I also wore pearl earrings, but lost one of them a few years ago. They are resting on Phillip's tux handkerchief.

House
And this is the little house that we lived in. Oh, how I loved it! It was built in the 20's and had all of the original woodwork, a built in hutch in the dining room and a dresser in one of the bedrooms. It would be fun to go back to Sioux Falls, SD someday and see it again!

Thank you for looking at my wedding treasures!

Happy Anniversary! That wedding dress is gorgeous. I wish the styles these days would include more modest dresses like that. I like your invitation, too. And that is a great way to keep the cards -- mine are just all in a box with the wedding album.

Oh, what a beautiful dress. I wish you'd showed us a picture of you and your honey in the wedding clothes.
I like the little house. I looked at one very similar when we lived in PA. They had built onto the back and had remodled the downstairs rooms but all of the upstairs were the same. It didn't have AC and had an oil furnace. I was enchanted with it.

You know, I could have sworn my name was on here yesterday but maybe not. I was busy visiting everyone that I missed yesterday and all of a sudden realized I wasn't there. Maybe I didn't link it but I remember filling in the blanks.

  47. I ran across your blog last night as I was searching the internet for an apron pattern. I bookmarked your post where you gave instructions on how to make an apron. It was so much easier to understand than anything I had come across earlier!

It has been a long time since I've run across a blog and taken the time to read the whole blog. I started with your most recent post and have read backwards to this point. I just had to comment because I was looking at the picture of your wedding guest book and noticed that some of your guests were from SD, which is where I am from. Anyway, I took that as my sign to leave you a comment :0)

You have a wonderful blog and I can't wait to read more of it. Have a great day. :o)
