Homemade Card
This is the card I made for this week's project. Remember that you can use any kind of paper, stamps or stickers.
You will need a 5 1/2 x 4" notecard. I used thick scrapbook paper.
Cut out the center of a small paper doily. Cut out a circle of scrapbook paper. Make it slightly larger than the center of doily.
Glue doily onto front of card. Glue scrapbook circle in the center.
Print out saying or poem of your choice on regular printing paper.
Cut into strips with decorative scissors. Dab edges with ink pad.
Add a stamp or sticker to center of doily.
Glue paper strips to card and add additional stamps and a bow at the top. Let me know if you make one too!

Beautiful card Kelli! I need to make a graduate card as all the stores are sold out. (I was very very busy in May and June!) I have photographed this child since she was knee high to a grasshopper. (And she was also my youth assistant in VBS/Camp several years, my right hand...She was on her Sr. trip and I missed her so much this year!) I am thinking of creating a card, print out scanned old photos, etc, but you know how a mind gets too cluttered? Then I look at your card and think, "This is beautiful!" I am going to use one photo I probably have in the file, somewhere... But then, keep the card simple and beautiful.
The card is so sweet and with your tutorial it looks easy enough to make one. I love the words with the ink-dabbed antique-y look.
What a beautiful card, Kelli! You always have the neatest ideas! Thank you for taking the time to share your creativity with all of us!
Have a blessed and delightful day!
Hugs,
Amy

That's so pretty, Kelli! I especially like the way you "aged" the strips of words with the ink on the edges. Nice touch, you creative person, you! :-)
Kelli,
That card is precious! Thank you for showing us how to make such lovely cards.
Thank you so much for praying for my family and me. My daughter is fine but stranded in southern Texas (near Padre Island) due to the hurricane. She called and she sounds pretty sad. She was due to come home today. They have no electricity and some food but they have begun rationing it. I'm trying to not worry as she is in the Lord's hands.

What a lovely card, I especially love the yellow colors in it. Yellow is such a wonderful summery color. It makes you feel all warm inside, and I'm sure the recipient of your card will feel loved, and wanting to get into her garden.
LOL Kelli, Ihad to look at the calendar twice to see if I slept through Friday LOL but I see where you're having to post early whew! great show-n-tell makes me want to make one too! can't wait to see all the show-n-tells I ahve mine figured out, just have to post it!

That is such a pretty card! I love all the cards you come up with. :D
That is a beautiful design. I have tried to make cards and honestly all except for 1 I have been disappointed with the ones I have created. You obviously have the gift!
That paper is amazing! I've done just a few cards in my lifetime. My favorite is the "diaper" that holds an invite or birth announcement. Another was when I purchased clear vellum cards, and inserted a bright and colorful piece of paper, and then used a hole punch for a bow. None of mine though are as polished as yours. Great work, and thanks for the inspiration.
So pretty, Kelli! I love those bees :) Love, Q
Very pretty and unique!
I used to make cards too...not as lovely as yours though. I just used rubber stamps, stencils, and stickers. The recipeints like them nonetheless though. :-)
Once things get settled here in Texas I plan on doing some card making. :-)
Hope the Lord is truly blessing your week!
Hugs,
Dawn
Oh Kelli what a cute card. How I wish I had time to do all your suggestions! Maybe someday!
BTW I just loved the doggy day photos and I want to share them Sat. on Daisy Bloggie Friends.
What is her name?
I am sure it was a fun time watching all that yesterday.
I guess by the last one she wasn't supposed to get into the pond.
Very cute. I hope you had a great day. I have the day off tomorrow and hopefully I won't leave the house!
Have a great Show and Tell.
Very pretty!
'The hum of bee's is the voice of the garden' - I hadn't thought of that. How lovely. And true! I like bees.
This is a very pretty card. I like your colours - they coordinate beautifully. Thanks for the tutorial Kelli!
I love it! your beautiful card makes me want to get busy and make some of my own. Thank you for sharing Kelli.
That is just beautiful!
