Homemade Card

Notecard
Good Morning! Today's project uses note cards that you may have purchased or maybe a friend sent you. You can use patterned scrapbook paper instead, though.

Notecard
Begin with a 5 1/2 x 4" notecard.

Notecard
Glue a 5 1/4 x 2 1/2" rectangle of scrapbook paper to the top part of notecard.

Notecard
Trim down your notecard to approximately 5 1/4 x 2 1/2-3"

Notecard
Glue ribbon along the paper seam. I used hot glue.

Notecard
Cut out a small oval from the leftover notecard and glue to top center of card.

Notecard
You can also use a sticker.

Notecard
Thank you for looking at this week's homemade card project!

Hey you must be very talented, love the strawberry pot cover and cards! (New to your site via the Lusks) I'm interested to see you homeschool you kids. Will you completely homeschool them or will you send them to school when they are older?

  11. Wow, I love what you did! You are so talented with gluing the RIGHT things together. Usually I look at my final project and think why did I glue that there? Great job!!!

  15. My favorite day is card day! I made a card like the one you sent me for my mother for her birthday. I used some paper with the writing in the background (similar to what you used on this card) to line the envelope flap. My mother told me over the phone she didn't understand the card. When I got to her house I saw the card and she had torn the paper off of the flap. She thought it was something she was supposed to read and she couldn't read it. LOL

  23. Kelli,

Lovely cards! Do you have a particular scrapbook paper that you use? I've noticed a number of websites online that sell scrapbooking supplies. Do you have a company that you can recommend?

    Blessings,
