Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Today I am going to show you my bunny collection. Right now everything is in a corner of my dining room hutch, but I bring it all out in the spring.
A miniature tea set.
Bunny figurines. I like to fill them with Easter candy.
A small teapot that was a gift from my mother-in-law.
A bunny and chick salt and pepper shakers.
My favorite part of my collection are these Royal Doulton Bunnykin dishes. The girls and Benjamin each have a plate, bowl and cup.
My mom also has a set for each of my siblings and myself, and my Dad ate oatmeal in a Bunnykin bowl every morning growing up. In fact, he wore the picture right off the bottom!
Little bunnies race around the edges.
Each dish as a different scene.
What a wonderful life the Bunnykins have!
Thank you for looking at my show and tell!

Those Bunnykim dishes are so cute! I've never heard of them before. I think it's fun that your dad wore the picture off with his oatmeal!

Thanks for all the wonderful posts. You are my favorite blogger. :-) Debbi

I used to have a bunny collection, but I'm sad to say over the years alot was lost and broken or just worn out. I love your collection of bunny things! The dishes are very cute I have seen some pieces of that pattern in a few shops. My grandfather used to read me Peter Rabbit all the time, and I think that sparked my interest in bunnies.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your collection.

Your little bunny tea set is just darling! Love all your collection!! I still have the Bunnykin bowl and cup set that Shawn had when he was a baby so it's over 30 years old now. I had received it as a baby shower gift when I was pregnant for him:-) xoxo

ReplyDeleteWhat cute Bunny dishes. I love them all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet bunny collection you have! We have seen bits and pieces of it before here and there, but the whole collection is quite impressive! Since bunnies are my worst enemy in the garden, it would be a bit of a stretch to say that I love bunnies, but they are cute! We love our Bunnykins dishes too - a good friend of the family gave a set to each of the children at birth, and they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your bunny dishes with the different scenes ... adorable :o) Sue
ReplyDeleteYour bunnies are adorable. I especially like your Bunnykin set. I went with Wedgwood's Peter Rabbit china for my own little Sugar Lumpkin but find Royal Doulton's Bunnydin collection very tempting.

ReplyDeleteI really like your Bunnykins dishes. They've always appealed to me too, along with other bunny things. My son used to collect bunny things too, starting with a small Holland Lop rabbit that he had when he was small. It was a white rabbit, named Magic. She was very sweet.
ReplyDeleteIt's very cool here today, and we had a bunch of rain fall last night. Fall's on the way!
Love the Bunnykin - they have always reminded me very much of Potter's Peter Rabbit.
