Weekend Chit~Chat

We've had a very busy three days. Good friends of ours are getting married this coming Friday and Phillip is the best man, Benjamin is the ring bearer, and Grace and Emily are the flower girls. We spent most of Friday running errands. Phillip and Benjamin needed suits and the girls needed shoes.
Daisy
Later that evening, we met Phillip's brother for dinner and then took Daisy to the creek. It was almost dark, but she had a great time playing in the water and even swam in a deeper area.

Fabric
I picked up some new scrapbook paper and also pretty fabric for a wedding gift.

Table
I spent Saturday afternoon making cards and other paper crafts.

Counter
Then Emily and I made a couple of pies for our Saturday evening company. I'll share the recipe soon.

Ribs
For dinner we made Mrs. H's Oven Baked Country Ribs which I highly recommend. My brother-in-law took one bite and said "I'm never ordering ribs from Chili's again!"

I hope you all are having a good weekend. Thank you for participating in show and tell and your sweet comments about the strawberry aprons!

  8. What a fun day you must have had. And then a yummy dinner to fill all those empty tummies.
I love the creek photo's but I bet you knew I would.
I am still working on my sewing room. I wanted to get some scrapbooking done today after my inspiration on Friday but haven't gotten that far. I have emptied 5 more boxes today though! Someday soon.
I can't wait to see what the wedding present turns out to be and see photo's of the big day. Weddings and babies are always so fun!
Have a great week. Smiles. Sherry

  15. Good Morning Kelli :),

What a wonderful weekend you had, the ribs look wonderful! It's hard to believe how Daisy has grown, she's loosing her puppy look already or else time is just slipping by me really fast this summer. It's dark here as I sit and type this, kind of sad so enjoy your summer, it's slipping by quickly!

    Have a great Monday!

My sister recently followed a link to you from a comment you left in Merryville, and asked me to tell you, that your blog is her very favorite, of all the blogs she's been discovering. I told her, that I often tell you, that you're one of the sweetest ladies in all of Blogville, too!

    Best wishes Kelli!
