I mentioned that we got our first pumpkin last week.
I set it on a doily and the cake plate
Linda gave me a few weeks ago.
And set it between two candles for a quick and easy centerpiece!
Candle light makes things more cozy this time of year.
Thank you for taking a look!

ReplyDeleteKelli,
ReplyDeleteI just love decorating with pumpkins and gourds. I usually get a few big pumpkins and put them on the fireplace hearth. I never carve them on Halloween. :)
I'm sorry to say that I accidentally put your last comment as spam and it went far away to the netherworld. I tried to retrieve it but could not figure out how. I am hoping it was just one comment and that you aren't "spam" forever. Oh gosh.

Kelli,
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely centerpiece. It gives your table a cozy feeling.

I love how it all looks! I'm just not ready to begin turning things into fall...at least not until the 22nd :)
ReplyDeleteI need to have leaves falling, wind blowing, and early darkness to make me start thinking of fall.
I lit a candle while I cleaned yesterday because that is what you do....I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks so much for such great advice. You dont know how much we enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteLove it! And I love that tablecloth, too! :-) May I ask if it is cloth or vinyl and where you got it?

I really like the table linen and the pumpkin is just perfect. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteLove the look! I'm slowly getting there. Last night I tried to "force" fall with a big pot of soup and grilled cheese, but alas, the temperature was still over 80 when I looked! I'm off to make some cards:)
Pretty centerpiece Kelli!
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkin is the perfect addition to the beautiful cake plate and the candles are the icing on the cake.

Hi Kelli. I've enjoyed catching up on your blog. The pumpkin and other decorations in your home are great for fall. I like the new fall look of your blog also.
ReplyDeleteThis was beautiful! While our mornings are cold the afternoons are still in the 80's so I almost feel as if I'm rushing Fall. I have found myself many times while looking through my meager Fall decor "What would Kelli do?" You inspire me!
ReplyDeleteTJ
Love the pumpkin! My husband and I were talking yesterday about getting some in a few days. I love this time of year...just wish the weather would cooperate with my yearning for fall! Enjoyed the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love pumpkins, the warm glow of candles is so pretty as well.
ReplyDeleteI like to display some of my knitted pumpkins every year :)
We have 13 pumpkins just waiting to be picked--your idea was simple and sweet. julie
ReplyDeleteI am ready for fall but I don't think Texas is as far as the weather is concerned. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave you been the Hobby Lobby or Cracker Barrel lately? They have all their fall and Christmas stuff out. It's like Heaven on earth when I walk into places like that. I can't get dragged out of there until I look at everything...lol.
When you are done with your pumpkins do you make pumpkin pie or bake the seeds or what do you do with it?
Hope you are having a good week!
Hugs,
Dawn
I better grab my pink cake plates and turn them into a harvest center piece. Thanks fo rthe inspiration. Wendy

A question..is that your house in your blog header?
That is such a cute idea! I have a few fake pumpkins, but nothing beats the real deal. You are right about candles, they instantly add "cozy" to a room.
