Thank you so much for your comments on my front porch! I should have mentioned that the apples in the basket are not real. If they were, Walnut, our resident squirrel would have taken care of them a long time ago!
This past weekend we went camping with Benjamin's Boy Scout troop.
The weather was perfect and we had a fun time together in the great outdoors.
Campfire bacon and hot fluffy pancakes.
Relaxing with a friend.
The girls and their friends discovered a small island to wade across to.
Daisy wore herself out with plenty of running and swimming.
And of course, there were s'mores to enjoy once it got dark.
I took along some favorite magazines.
The view from above my chair was perfect!
Saturday afternoon I took a walk through the woods to see what I could find.
My favorite time of day was the early morning before the sun rose.
And the lake was still covered with mist.
Thank you for taking a look!
Oh, I really want to go camping, but it is too cold for that now. I loved all the photos, especially of the pancakes swimming in butter! Yum.

ReplyDeleteHi Kelli
ReplyDeleteDo you think I could become a boy scout and come camping with you next time?
I love the campfire, the fluffy pancakes, the hammock, the island and everything. It looks idyllic in the woods at your camp. Daisy has the right idea snoozing in the sun. That photo of the lake with the mist and the reflection of the tree is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks so much for this wonderful post. I feel like I have been camping with you.
Lindsay

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful pictures from your camping! It must have been awesome to go for a trip like that with your family. Your front porch is amazing - wish I could have the same here but the wind would blow it all away I am afraid:) It is quite windy here in West Norway.
Take care
Cheers Lill
Hi! I have been lurking on your site and thoroughly enjoying it all. I love your photos (especially the misty lake), but am writing to tell you that the banana muffins on your blog are a hit! I sent the link to my daughter and she made them with great results! I can't wait to make them for my 93-year-old mother who is a "muffin-gal!" Thanks for sharing! Ellen in New York (don't have a blog!)
ReplyDeleteCamping is my favorite way to vacation!

Kelli,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time camping! I can almost smell that breakfast you cooked in the pictures. :)

Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your pictures of camping- we used to tent-camp with six kids. I felt like I packed everything (especially kitchen utensils) we owned to make sure we wouldn't forget something. I think we cheated, though, we always camped at sites with electricity:) Therefore- electric skillet,etc... Great memories!

Looks like a wonderful time! Daisy looks a lot like Sampson does while camping: Crashed! Dogs love camping just as much as people.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun!

What a fun trip! I love the pics of the misty lake. And the little island makes me think of Huck Finn:)
ReplyDeleteOh, it's definitely time for us to begin taking the kids camping. We'll be out of diapers this spring, and just must must must get away. We do backyard campouts each year, but we live on a main street with very close neighbors. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI love that the Boy Scouts invite families to participate. That's so good for the fabric of families.
I am enjoying your blog sooo much! I was wondering if you have any posts here on bedroom decorations. Adults and children? I have been reading for hours but have a long way to go yet! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see how you put your special touches in bedrooms.
You are so inspiring.
Fabulous photos and the misty ones across the lake were very atmospheric. I was there with you - what a good time was had!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I've just tagged you over on my blog, so check it out. Hope you'll join in.
Some of my fondest memories of when my oldest was little were her Girl Scout Camping Trips. Beautiful pictures, glad you had such a great time.
ReplyDeleteKelli I love camping...some of my best memories have been while camping...as an adult and child. I wish I could get Danny to go but he has gotten toooooo old!! That came from his mouth not mine, lol! He likes A/c and his king size bed!! Imagine that! I really enjoyed your camping pictures.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! Um, and those pancakes and bacon look sooooo good...mmmm! I am a huge lover of magazines...and, yet, I have never heard of or seen that one on top of your stack. Does it say "Somerset Life"? I'll have to look for that!
ReplyDeleteOH! And I was fooled by those apples on the porch. I totally thought they were real! ;o)
Hi Kelly! Wonderful pictures and beautiful kids. Thanks for sharing. Debbi :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos from the weekend. Everything looks so serene. I'm not sure the magazines quite go with the camping scene.
