I love old children's books. The one was signed Christmas 1962. That was my son's first Christmas. The glasses are interesting. It would be nice to know who wore them and what they read.

I figure your dad may be a little older than me from the dates in the books. I have a nice collection of old children's books and a few of my own Raggedy Ann books. I photographed a few of them for flickr.
I've started up a Sunday share called 'I recommend' which could be anything you like and what to tell us about. Anyone who reads this, please think about my share.

  65. I love old books, especially the smell! Sometimes I just get one of my old Agatha Christie books out of the bookcase, open it and inhale the lovely old smell. It's like thyme and cigars it almost makes you high *g* And they colour to this lovely colour of yellow browning and to know that my ancestors have turned the very same pages years ago. Makes one very nostalgic :o)
