Organizing Before and After ~ Giving Thanks

Drawer
I'm concentrating on my kitchen drawers today. Sorry for the dark pictures, my kitchen light wasn't working.

Here are my "after" pictures...
Organizer
For my kitchen junk drawer I found this neat organizer at Walmart. The top tray slides up and down and there are plenty of little sections. I measured the width, but never thought to measure the depth and length.

Drawer
No matter how hard I tried, I could not get it to fit. I ended up using the smaller section, along with another organizer I had. It's amazing how much "junk" I ended up getting rid of!

Organizer
A few weeks ago I found a big bag of vintage hem bias tape and lace trim at the thrift store, so I put all of it in the larger section of the organizer.

Stovetop
I moved my wooden spoons to a mason jar on my stovetop.

Carpet
I also gave Phillip's office a deep cleaning. Daisy likes to sneak pencils under his desk and chew them up.

Daisy
She also likes empty milk dud boxes.

Daisy
Can you tell she gets away with anything and everything? ;0)

Dollhouse
Our poor doll house has been empty (except for junk and dust) for several months. When Daisy was a puppy she liked to eat the furniture, so I put everything up until she was older.

Grace
Grace had fun going through everything this afternoon.

Dollhouse
And she did a *wonderful* job setting everything up again!

  1. Don't we all have drawers like this? Mine was straightened out when a piece of the drawer broke, and hubby had to dump it all on the floor while fixing it. I really wonder how many of the pieces in the drawer I need.

  3. I'm working on cleaning and organizing. Always working on it, or so it seems. I've been cleaning my office - sorting and tossing and recycling and shredding. Amazing what you find when you do that! Thanks for your inspiration. The kitchen drawers should be next but I think they will have to wait a bit until something more urgent is redone.

  7. Hi Kelli,
I have a puppy that likes toilet paper. She likes to take it under the computer desk and shred it! I am in an organizing frame of mind. I just sent my husband to walmart to get me some totes. I'm organizing the seasonal items I have. (Thank you for sharing how you do it:)
