Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Today, I am sharing some of our special Christmas treasures. I enjoy new decorations, but the ones we've had for many years are my favorite.
My Nana gave me this snow globe when we visited Canada last year.
A friendly snowman that rests on top of a door frame. I got him shortly after Phillip and I were married.
My mom always put these Victorian Christmas bunnies out at Christmas time and now they live at my house. :0)
I have a weakness for Advent and countdown calendars. This one has little pouch with velcro candy canes, sleighs, teddy bears and more.
Another countdown calendar that I got from Avon over 10 years ago.
And finally, our Nativity sets that remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. We have one on our entertainment center and another under our Christmas tree. Thank you for taking a look at my show and tell!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed looking at your decorations. I really love your nativity...the colors are so rich looking and I think the fabric you are using is so pretty!
Kellie, I accidentally put my post over at paper crafting thursday first. Would you be so kind as to delete it for me? Thank you.

Kelli, I especially love the display in the bathroom! Very delicate and beautiful. Also the snowman on the door frame. I like things that work that way - (it looks like it should fall down but it doesn't). I think that's clever. And the Santa countdown calendar. That's really clever too with the number blocks!
ReplyDeleteNancy

Lovely things Kelli !! I love the snowglobe, that is one of my favourite things too.
ReplyDeleteThe snowmen at the doorlist is very cute too and the calendars, such great ideas !!
Have a wonderful day !!
Kelli,
ReplyDeleteOnce again, beautiful Christmas decor! :)
I asked another blogger this question and will ask you, too. I will be starting my Etsy shop in the near future and saw that they only allow hand-made items, which is great. Yet, I have seen many things on there that are obviously not handmade, i.e. Thomas the Train, cookbooks, etc. I was going to post some homeschooling books that I have but don't want to go against the rules. Thoughts?
I love the green cloth with the nativity set. It really brings it together.
ReplyDeleteI like 'em all Kelli, but the Santa countdown from Avon™ is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteToday I share a Christmas Fairy Tale from a special holiday edition at our home.
Happy Weekend everyone

That is such a pretty globe--I have not seen one like that before! I love the quilt behind the bunnies--nice touch. And there is always something so exciting about advent calandars!!! The nativity is so nice toooooo!!!
ReplyDeleteMine's up, but I am not sure it's an "item". I wanted to blog about it anyway. By the way, I LOVED garlic bread twists, thanks for that recipe back in July.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your decorations - each one is special because of the memory behind it. Thanks for sharing that too!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the snowman above the door:)
Linda C
Thanks for sharing you decorations! I love the Nativity Scene and the Snowman above your door. :o)
ReplyDeleteThe snow globe is beautiful and looks perfect in your bath. I just love your snowman, that is cut out to above the doorway! Now that is wonderful! How sweet the victiorian bunnies are in the rocker, and so special that your Mom had them in her home and now you are carry on the family tradition. You have me wanting to go find my calandar, we always put up for the girls! I gave them each one when they got married, but they still want the one I made long ago.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Christmas decorations with us. I love your Nativity Scene. I read a friend's blog last week, and she has very young grandchildren. I really appreciated her idea of having one sturdy-made Nativity set down low for the babies to play with, and to give her the opportunity to teach them the over and over the true meaning of Christmas. Great idea, huh?
ReplyDeleteYngwie had the boy rabbit just like yours! I think Santa left it the first year he was born. I enjoy looking at your Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Linda

ReplyDeleteIt's all gorgeous Kelli! We finally put our tree up, and just a few decorations. With hubby's surgery, I decided that less was more this year.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to see your special Christmas decor items.
ReplyDeleteI just got to add my link even though the post was done Thurs. evening and published at 12:01 am.
However, due to the ice storm I awoke to no electricity, no heat, no internet and no telephone. Last night I and my 90-year old mother took refuge 50 miles away at my sister's home. I hope power will be restored so I can return home at least by Monday.
