Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
I have a couple of birthday presents to share with you, today. I have a very sweet friend, Debbi, that I met through blogging. I have enjoying getting to know her better over the past few months and she sent me a surprise package in the mail last week.
A beautiful Anne of Green Gables doll that belonged to her, but she thought Grace, Emily and I would enjoy her. I keep her displayed on top of my bedroom desk.
Isn't she pretty?
Debbie also gave me the sweetest hankie to add to my collection.
I especially love the bluebirds. Thank you for taking a look at a couple of gifts from my special friend and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate.

Dear Kelli,
ReplyDeleteThe doll is beautiful--I love dolls! I have posted a show and tell item--a little late in the day--it was a hectic day. Anyhow--this is my first time participating! You have a lovely blog! Thank you & God bless--
Molly
Love the Anne doll. One of my daughters is named Anne, and even has green eyes and dark hair! The hankie brings back memories of the type my Mom always had, all ironed and folded, in her top drawer.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Cass
Kelli,
ReplyDeleteThe doll is a beautiful and thoughtful birthday gift . Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite books!!!
I know you both will get a lot of enjoyment from her.

I have a special love for the Anne character, especially since I live so close to her home - so naturally I think your new treasure is just beautiful. In fact, she looks in perfect condition.
ReplyDeleteYour Anne of Green Gables doll is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI sent you an email and an invite.
Let me know if you got them.
The doll is beautiful, my granddaughter is into collecting porcelin dolls, she is only 16, but she has quite a collection started. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice friend that gives you such beautiful gifts! I too collect hankies - this one is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
What a darling little doll and the hankie is precious too! Aren't you the most special one! lol
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

Oh the doll is adorable, I LOVE Anne of Green Gables :)
ReplyDeleteCute little Ann. Love the freckles. I'll be making some of your cards too. Very cute design, as usual. Mimi
ReplyDeleteI love your Anne of Green Gables doll and your old fashioned hankie. I collect hankies, too!
ReplyDeleteYour photography is excellent, by the way. How do you get such natural lighting?
Elizabeth
Once upon a time, I had a very similar Anne doll - she was my treasure! We had some younger friends from church over to lunch one Sunday and since I was 'really too old to play with dolls any more', someone convinced me to give away my sweet Anne. It is fun to see your 'new to you' Anne doll - she is in great shape! I am sure mine didn't fare so well! I'm glad yours was treasured and will bring your girls a little taste of Green Gables!
ReplyDeleteYour gifts are so sweet. And what a precious friend to share them with you. Anne is just darling - exactly right! And the hankie is just about the cutest ever. I wish I had kept my childhood hankies. They were so sweet. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteOh, Kelli!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the doll! ♥
ReplyDeleteAnd the hankie is adorable too!
Thanks for stopping by and wishing me get well. ♥

I always keep you listed in my "Friends" section because you are so full of good ideas and I love the cards you make. I love making them also, but sometimes I draw a blank about what to make. You are wonderful.
Shanda
I LOVE that Anne of Green Gables doll! How sweet was that of her to send you such lovely gifts.
ReplyDeleteShe just made some sweet memories for you didn't she.
I think that's great when that happens.
She must be a true "Boosum friend."
I have sent you an award. Please come take a look. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWonderful birthday gifts. The Anne doll is just gorgeous, enjoy her.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Kelli,
ReplyDeleteYou always show the prettiest things on your blog...and I love to see the cards you make!
Thanks for stopping by--and for hosting "Show & Tell." It's always so much fun.
Karen
What sweet gifts from a new friend...hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI love that hanky - it's one of the coolest I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI just received a doll from a blogging friend. It's the Barbie Irish Step Dancer in honor of the celtic posts I've been writing.
I love Anne of GG. Not the book, tho - it's too treacly for me. But the miniseries - superb. Just last Sunday I watched Megan Followes (sp?) as she played Anne during WWI when she goes to Europe to find Gilbert. I never knew Lucy Maude Montgomery continued to write about Anne after her childhood.
Hey, Kelli. I am making the black berry lemonade for a party tomorrow. (You posted it on 5-30-06). I'll blog tomorrow night how it goes, and post a link to that recipe.
ReplyDeleteThanx a mil for all the ideas.
The doll is adorable.. oh and I remember when my son was in scouts... father/son cake bake brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteAnne is so pretty, I just love her.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of anything Anne of Green Gables. I had all of her movies, but then we went to DVD so I must buy another set.
Happy Birthday. And I love your Monday...I cleaned house, not much more you can say about that. Moved all the living room furniture...yikes! Hugs, Mary
