Good morning! We are having a cold and rainy week in Texas. Quilts are still on the beds, but the trees and flowers are saying spring is here. Here are a few things simple pleasures from yesterday...
Our tree in bloom.
A new violet.
A beautiful card from a friend.
A pink Columbine.
And yellow.
Fresh banana bread, hot out of the oven.
I hope your week is going well. I can't believe it's already Thursday!

The days are going by so fast! I also have a violet in bloom. It's looking like spring around here.
Hugs, Susan
What fun. We made banana bread this week, too. I'm getting jealous of all you Texans with your flowers before spring even begins! Here in WA, we're having a freak cold snap--it snowed this week; something that I'm not sure has EVER happened in the Seattle area in March. Craziness.

What a beautiful touch of Spring you sent
by way..cold here but I saw my first
Spring Robin yesterday..
Here is louisiana it is cold and rainy. Just last week the kids and I added to our flower garden. My girls and I really love your site. Your site insprires us. Jill
Such beautiful spring flowers! We have about 6 more weeks before my flowers start blooming! The banana bread looks yummy. I could almost smell it:)
Beautiful photos! The flowers are lovely. Your banana bread looks yummy! I baked chocolate chip cookies last night, my husband's favorite. I love your new header. Enjoy your day!
Such a nice cozy post...:)
Our March here in western Oregon has been crazy as usual...snow, sleet, sunshine, cold then warm and back again, and today sunny....:)
How beautiful with the flowers blooming! We still have about a foot of snow on the ground! It is up to 28 degrees today and sunny. So it is chilly but not too bad. :)
God bless,
Penni
I enjoyed coming here today to see a touch of Spring. We are hovering at 19° today...and yearning for blooming flowers again.
What a pretty tree! What kind is it? I have a few crocus coming up, but not too much else.
Happy Thursday!
Everything looks great, especially the banana bread. That is one of my favorite breads. I just love banana bread, but rarely make it. Thx for sharing.
What lovely pictures! The banana bread looks delicious.
Mmmm banana bread!
Hi Kelli we too are experiencing spring/winter like conditions...warm one day...freezing the next. And there are flowers everywhere. Firewood for sale, next to fertilizer! Big smile! Hope you have a lovely day!

We are making banana bread today too! I am so anxious for Spring - it hasn't come here yet. We just had a few snow storms pass through. Beautiful photos Kelli!

Have a great day!

It's cold and rainy down here in Houston, too. Spring is definitely in the air, because we're all sick! Banana bread sounds good.
I swear I could almost smell that banana bread!!! Lovely flowers.
We got the cool weather, but not the rain, sadly. :(
Thank you so much for sharing that bread recipe. It looks delicious!
I so want Spring to arrive! that banana bread looks delish!
What an uplifting post! We had a few warm days recently, but it has turned cloudy and cold again. Your bread looks delicious;-) Have a great weekend.

take care,
It's cold and wet here in Mississippi. The photos of your flowers are lovely, and the banana bread makes me want to bake a loaf. That's one of our favorites.
I really enjoyed this post, Kelli! Thanks for letting me have a little Spring through your (camera's) eyes;)
Our snow is melted now and we're heading for the 50's for temps next week:) There's hope-yay!
Your banana bread has inspired me to bake some- looks so good:)

Thanks for sharing....have a wonderful week yourself!!
Your flowers are beautiful and the banana bread looks delicious!
Your Bradford Pear is beautiful. We one in our yard and last year it died. Just seemed like it happened suddenly, but the tree people said it had been sick a long time just took a while for it to finally die. It was sad to get it cut down. I miss it in our yard.
The bread looks yummy!

I love your hints of spring! It's still so cold here in northern Ill...so true spring is still a bit far off.
Beautiful pics!!!!
thanks for sharing : )
Oh Kelli,
Everything looks so Springy. So new and pretty...
Blessings,
Susie
Everything looks so wonderful and Spring-y there, Kelli. I know you are already out there with your little garden tools.
God bless you.
Hi Kelli! Your tree and flowers are beautiful. The banana bread looks YUMMY!
It has been in the 50's and sunny here the last couple of days. I did get out and plant three new rose bushes this afternoon. YEA!
Can't wait to see your "Show and Tell'. Love, Debbi
" Love That Banana Bread"
Try this recipe with a cup of chocolate chips and 3 tablespoons of orange zest. Out of this world!
That looks great! I love your collection of bottles in the window! :)
Sigh . . . this is the first spring I've missed Texas! LOL I think I'm just now realizing that spring comes later here. Although we'll have flowers and trees budding and blooming soon, the warm weather that I'm used to down south won't be here for several more months (but we won't get the blazing hot summer like down south!). Thanks for sharing your tree - that did my heart good!
The Columbines are blooming already? Wow- Great photos.
Looks like your a bit ahead of me here in England. Snowdrops, daffs and crocuses are up. A few early tulips as well and the odd tree is starting to show buds!
Your banana bread reminds me of my late mother. Who baked a mean loaf. ;) Your African violet is very pretty. I have no houseplants at the moment, but want to get some more soon.

I've been wanting some banana bread myself. Looks so yummy!
What lovelies! We're just staring to have blooms on some trees, some daffodils up, and new greenery on the rose bushes.
Beautiful pictures! ♥
Our quilts are still out as well...I like that though...a good warm quilt. Hope you have a nice week.
How in the world do you get columbine to grow in Texas??? I used to love seeing them in Colorado, but I have lived in Texas since 1968 and I've never seen them here! You must be a lot farther north than I am ;^)
