Kitchen Canisters ~ Show and Tell Friday!


Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Happy Friday! Today, I am sharing two new treasures that are on my kitchen hutch.

Canisters
Two beautiful canisters from one of my favorite artists, Marjolein Bastin.

They were originally priced at $15.95 each, but I got both of them for $4.00 at the local thrift store.

  15. Oh, I love Marjolien Bastin's art, too, and have many of her pieces, AND,most of them came from thrift stores! My whole bedroom is decorated with her things. How fun to find someone else who likes her, too. Most people don't even know who she is when I talk about her.

    I'm so glad you found those beautiful pieces! They are treasures.

    Marjolein Bastin is Dutch, and illustrates for a very 'big' national magazine..

    There's a large department store that sells lots of her stuff (like china, canisters, etc.) around here..

    I LOVE them too! My husband recently bought me a 'special mug' which features seashells, drawn by Marjolein.

    Girl, I just adore your beautiful canisters...I've never seen anything like them! I've never heard of this artist either..I'll have to do a little digging...I just love her things! The little blue wooden box with all of the sweet birds...too cute!!! And of course, it looks just perfect displayed beside those beautiful canisters!!! I bet you were doing the happy dance when you found them...$4??? OMG...what a bargain!!!

    I just love your entire shelf vignette...the pretty blue toile napkins and Ohhhh...those gorgeous tea cups and luncheon plates with the sweet blue flowers are lovely!!! This is all sooo beautiful, my friend!!! Thank you so much for sharing your treasures with all of us today...and thank you so much for hosting "Show & Tell" Friday once again!!!   81. I have the entire canister set from Marjolein Bastin and need to replace the lids only on the two larger ones. I found a small canister on eBay but would love to find the lids I need. My mom, would died in 2010, loved MB and would always buy her cards for me. I have a box with a Nativity set that I bought her from Mexico..the lady that's selling the canister has the same box in the picture. I love your decor.. my house is Country French in yellow and blue.
