  1. Love seeing your gleaming counter tops and the little candle. I have Tyler Candle, Ira Jean, burning in my living room. It cozies up a dreary day.

  4. I love that artist as well. She is becoming one of my favorites! :)

I thought I recognized that quote - it's from Anne of Avonlea. :) The rest of it says, "...following one another softly, like pearls off a string."

    Happy Monday!

  5. What a beautiful quote! I'm in the middle of cleaning out my fridge, so my countertops look nothing like yours. I'm working on it, though!

Guess I had better stop by Hallmark and see if they have that tea light holder.

There used to be a column in Country Living magazine that I loved called, Simple Country Pleasures. The author passed away and I missed reading it so much.

Sometimes we need to just do what you did, look around us at the things that bring us pleasure. I cleaned up a little before I left home and know it will make me feel good when I get back to see everything neat and tidy.

Hi Kelli, One of my favorite "Simple Pleasures" is visiting you almost every day. Your photos today were so soothing.

On Saturday I bought a Yankee Candle.....Vanilla Lime. I got one for my DIL too. I know you bought the same one awhile back. It does smell yummy.

Have a wonderful week full of "simple pleasures".
    Love, Debbi

Your beautiful kitchen and the comments here have inspired me to go ahead right now and make it nice and light a candle. Count me as well as one whose daily simple pleasure is reading your blog. Simple pleasures are indeed the best...a clean kitchen, a nicely scented candle, a bird at the feeder...all simple pleasures that in today's economy hardly cost a thing, but bring great joy...
Enjoy your simple pleasures Kelli..you deserve them.
