Vacation Pictures
Good morning! As I mentioned last week, the kids and I went to visit my family in Rhode Island. It was a wonderful time to relax and the weather was so nice and cool compared to Texas. I had time to read a few novels, watch movies and we took many drives out in the country and to the sea.
Exploring the tide pools with Grandpa.
Wild roses.
Queen Anne's Lace.
The girls and Benjamin had so much fun with their cousins and I barely saw them all week! They loved going to the lake and park with Grandpa and they got treated to ice cream cones several times.
It was a wonderful way to end our summer and we are going to make it a yearly tradition. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and taking a look!
Oh Kelli, Your vacation pictures are wonderful. It sounds like you pampered yourself a little bit with reading and relaxing. I am glad to hear this will be a yearly tradition for you and the kids.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week. Love, Debbi
The sea looks so inviting! Glad you had a good time and can look forward to going back. We missed you while you were gone.
ReplyDeleteKelli,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a wonderful time! Great pictures!
God Bless,
Hillary
Your photos are so beautiful. I wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! You all had much better beach weather than we did, but we were enjoying the Oregon coast at the same time.
ReplyDeleteWhat books did you read? I was really struggling with my hormones and being off my schedule, and couldn't seem to pick out a book to start. But the next to last day I decided to read "The Help" and loved it!
I'm glad you had some time for relaxing! Good idea before school starts.
It's beautiful out that way. So glad you had a great vacation. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else says...it looks WONDERFUL!!! How relaxing. But do you think we'd appreciate as much, if we lived that beauty everyday? Don't get me wrong...I love the beauty around me everyday, but something new is always special. Just with the thought of perhaps we won't see such a scene again.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS so much for sharing this!
It sounds like a nice, relaxing vacation Kelli!
ReplyDeleteThe pics were wonderful.
I loved the ones of the ocean--just lovely!
I've never been to RI, but your pics make me want to go! :)
I know you enjoyed this special time with family. And the break from heat was a plus.
ReplyDeleteNow, I suppose it is time to get the new school year started.
I was visiting your blog this weekend, hoping you had all your card tutorials under one heading so I could easily look at them. Have you considered doing this. I bought some of the supplies you mentioned and I am anxious to try stamping. I've collected stamps for a while now but haven't really practiced enough to try making a card with them. I have the table in the studio cleared off that I want to use for scrapping and cards so I'm ready to start.
Mama Bear
