Happy First Day of Fall!
In the other gardens And all up the vale, From the autumn bonfires See the smoke trail! Pleasant summer over And all the summer flowers, The red fire blazes, The grey smoke towers. Sing a song of seasons! Something bright in all! Flowers in the summer, Fires in the fall!-Robert Louis Stevenson
"Happy First Day of Fall" to the Winn family. My prayer for you is that you have a full, fun and wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteLove, Debbi
Yes, Happy Day of Fall to you too.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture!
I thought it was the Last Day Of Summer, so I was swinging by to say Happy Last Day Of Summer... Either way have a good one
ReplyDeleteIt's a Monday! That's probably why my last comment came out wrong...smile.
ReplyDeleteLet me try again, "Happy FIRST
day of Fall to You, too
lovely
ReplyDeleteI love Fall! It's such a cozy time of the year with hopefully a reprieve from some heat before my old house becomes unbearably cold. Thanks for this pleasant reminder that Fall is here.
ReplyDeleteI love Autumn! It is my absolute favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteHappy First Day of Fall to you!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite time of year...
Wishing you a blessed day full of sweet and simple joys! ♥
Hi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall to you !!!!
Have a great day.
Happy Fall! I'm ready for cooler temps, hot chocolate, Soup! and tons of 'nesting'.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time of year! I love the 'feeling' of fall and all the cozy things that go with it. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately a lot of cities don't allow burning leaves within city limits any more. I hate to think of all the kids growing up without that smell of fires in the fall.
Honey Bear and I sat out on the porch yesterday afternoon and there was a nice cool breeze blowing. I thought, it won't be long until we can have a fire in our firepit when we're out there.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure just which day was the first day of Fall. Glad you cleared that up. I think it is a little cooler out there today. The rain has stopped now. If I wasn't so tired, I'd go for a walk.
Mama Bear
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely poem!
ReplyDeleteIt may be the first day of fall, but it's still hot as the blazes where I live! The feel of fall weather doesn't usually start around here until mid October or so.
Fall is my favorite season, but it's not a season that lasts long where I live because nasty winter usually takes over quite quickly just when I am beginning to enjoy fall, sigh.
Anyway, enjoy your day (smiles).
Gorgeous picture! Happy Fall to you too!
ReplyDeleteHappy First Day of Fall to you Kelli.
ReplyDeleteI think the poem is absolutely perfect.
God bless.
Yay fall! Happy first day of fall to y'all! (that rhymes - lol)
ReplyDeleteBe Blessed!
Well, Kelli, I didn't even realize it, but it does look and feel like fall. You always have such a lovely post about it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture and poem. Happy fall to you. I just wanted to let you know that I am having my 100th post giveaway and I wanted you to join in on the fun! I know you will love the stuff that I've chosen, so come over and see what it's all about.
ReplyDeleteHappy First day of Fall to you, too! No turning leaves yet, but a little chill in the air...goodbye summer!

I thought Monday was the last day of Summer! Oh well -- either way, Happy Autumn to you.
ReplyDeleteThat house is just so beautiful!
And I love what you did with your baking pantry area -- it looks fantastic, almost makes me want to bake!

I just love Fall!! I think it's the only thing that I don't enjoy about Florida - I really miss the falling leaves...but I don''t miss the falling temps! :) Enjoy the changes!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to fall all year. Happy First Day of Fall. :-D
ReplyDeleteHappy First Day of fall to you too. What a pretty poem and picture.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall to you as well! Hope your week is off to a beautiful start!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall, thank you for posting the poem, lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene and words! I love Fall!
ReplyDeleteFall is so much fun! I plan on making a leaf pile in our side yard...But the mosquitoes might keep me away:( Another good thing about fall is no more 'skeeters!
ReplyDeleteSweet poem. I love the colors of Fall. We have a stand of several maples trees in the side yard and I could just stand in the middle of them and look up in the Fall, it makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall to you and your family too! I have to tell you that last night I baked the Cream Cheese Banana Bread that you have posted on your blog. It was SOOOO good. I kept one loaf for us and I'm giving one loaf to my neighbor when he gets home. This man always cuts my grass for me and asks for nothing in return.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a wonderful recipe! I hope you're feeling some cooler weather in Texas. Other than the torrential rains, we are not cooling down a bit here in Atlanta. It is blistering hot and humid this afternoon.
Happy first day of fall to you Kelli! :-)
