Construction has begun on our new backyard shed and garage conversion. They completed the floor on Day 1.
Day 2.
Day 3.
This is our future family room. We spent all day cleaning and organizing. Phillip's brother and a neighbor boy helped. We took two van loads to the dump and another two to Goodwill, and we still have too much stuff for the shed! At this point it's mostly camping and gardening supplies. I downsized my decorations into two large totes. We need to have everything cleared out by next week!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and don't forget about my
giveaway down below!

Wow! What a big project! I just wish I could park my van in my garage.
We'll be starting on our bathroom soon. Plus next year my hubby is building me a studio, hopefully. It's going to be a great shed. We need to clean out our garage.
the garage turned into a family room, works for me.
Wow! You guys did alot of work. Keep it up!!
Yay! I'm so glad you're blogging about this! It will be so fun to watch.
That's going to be a wonderful family room! I'll be looking forward to seeing all the progress!
How exciting! I remember when we lived near Nashville, some of our neighbors had converted garages into family rooms also:) That would be hard up north here- we love our garages, especially in the winter, so we don't have to scrape frost, snow and ice off our windshields in the mornings!
Can't wait to see pictures of your new room:)

wow. so cool.
we are going to re-do our shed in the back this fall.
Hubby decided he needs a bigger one.
Hi Kelli!
What a fantastic undertaking. I can't wait to see the "after" shots! How did you manage to downsize your decorations into 2 tote boxes? That is amazing!
God Bless,
Hillary
How exciting for you; I look forward to the pictures of the finish room.
Wow, that is great! I can't wait to see the finished garage conversion family room. My husband is jealous of the shed. Our current yard is too small for one. (He is sitting next to me) I thought I should mention his one comment though. He said maybe the shed is too close to the fence for future maintenance. It'd be better to have easement space to at least be able to walk around it.
HUGE project!!! And how WONDERFUL it will be when it is complete!!! I am excited for you!!!

Your project seems to be moving right along. Pretty soon you will be using your new family room.
God bless.
Hi Melyssa!
It doesn't look like it in the pictures, but there are 2 feet between the fence and shed; plenty of room for walking around and I'm sure the kids will play hide and seek back there, too. :0)
Wow, this looks like a lot of work. I know it will be worth all your time and energy. Happy Fall, Mary
Hi Kelli! I am so happy for you. I know your family will make a lot of memories in that new room. It will be beautiful.
