Busy Days
Hello! Thank you so much for your helpful suggestions on our wet bar area! We are still going over some options and can hopefully try out a few things during Phillip's Thanksgiving vacation.
I can't believe it's only two weeks away. I haven't been blogging as much, because things are so busy around here...
Thanks to insurance, we are getting a new roof this week. The hail storm that knocked down our tree did quite a bit of damage to the roof, as well.
This is an older picture of the garage conversion project. The work team has already begun putting up drywall.
The carpet has been ordered and we are finalizing wall colors. I think I will paint the kitchen a shade lighter and start working on that next week.
I've also been trying out a few new recipes, including Jaden's Beef with Broccoli. It was delicious!
This is my favorite time of year for baking with banana and pumpkin. This week I made mini banana loaves with a streusel topping.
I'm sure we will still be in the middle of our house projects once Thanksgiving arrives, but we will take some time to relax, get together with family and friends, and give thanks for our many blessings.
I will be back in a few weeks with hopefully some news of finished projects. Talk to you then!
It is going to be such a wonderful room when you are finished. You will love it.
ReplyDeleteKelli!!! How sweet that will be when you get it finished, sugar! I lust for a HUGE craft room, but alas, I'm stuck with a small spare bedroom since I'm an old lady. Hah!!! No one believes meeeeeee!!
ReplyDeleteTruly darling mantel display though. You might like to come over and see mine sometime.
xoxo,
Connie
Your new room is going to be great. I can hardly wait to see it. Your dinner looked great. Thx for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHello,

Its good to have busy days....sounds like that is what your are. Your Beef recipe looks great. Hoping the days slow down for the holidays...if that is possible.

I will miss all of your Thanksgiving posts, but I love that you are spending time on your home and family!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how it's almost Thanksgiving and Fall is almost over! My favorite season is almost gone and it feels like it just started. I think that being up so many nights with the twins has been the biggest factor. I'm hoping to at least put out a few decorations this weekend.
Hope you have a blessed holiday!
Those banana muffins look scrumptious! Came over to say hi. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteYou always keep me inspired with your seasonal decorating & delicious recipes. Have a wonderful weekend! :o)

ReplyDeleteHi! I love your Pilgrims and Indians, they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks awesome again! I love the Autumn sign on your mantel. Good luck with the roof. We had one put on a little while ago and I remember how loud it was..also make sure you check for leaks after your first rain with it on.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to see the finished project. I am absolutely sure it will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You have been very busy. I hope everything will be ok with the family room. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures.

Neighbours of ours turned their attached garage into a living room and it's just gorgeous! No doubt yours will be also once it's done:-) It's no wonder you haven't had much time for blogging, you have been so very busy. I still say we need more hours in a day to do everything we want to do! lol I've saved that beef & broccoli recipe to try, it sounds so delicious, better than the recipe I use!! xoxo

Hi Kelli. Just popping in to say hello. Looks like you will have a lot more room when the garage conversion is finished.
ReplyDeleteHi there, I just happened upon your blog while searching for front porch Christmas decor ideas:) You remind me a lot of myself! I'm a homeschooling mom of one and farmer's wife in NY. I'm constantly doing projects in and around our home and this year I have an awesome new front porch, but can't decide how to decorate it!:)
ReplyDeleteNext we move onto our basement conversion project which will be our school/craft room! I'm so excited! Of course some more windows and doors too. However the basement is my fun project, much like your family room.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings~
Katie
