A trip to the veterinary

As you can see from the photos, she has issues drinking from her perfectly fine *kitty* bowl! We do have her trained to stay away from glasses now so she switched the the bathroom and kitchen faucets. I hope today goes by fast.

  1. Praying for your cat today that her little operation goes well.
We actually have a vet friend who neutered two of our cats in our living room while here doing something for the pony one time. We got to see the whole operation.

Oh my gosh patty! That's funny! Our Gypsy (dog) had the surgery last year and she acted like it was nothing. I'll say a prayer for your kitty. Please tell me she isn't having milk and oreos!

  4. Wow Patty, I don't think I have the stomach for that..LOL. That is pretty neat that the vet did that though.
Thank you for the prayers Revee and girls. :0)
Dot, no she didn't eat the oreos..hehe. Actually chocolate is poisonous to cats, or so I've heard.

I called the vet at 4:30pm and the doctor said she is doing fine although Fern didn't wake up as fast as she would like. She expected her to be fully awake toinght though and would call if everything wasn't ok. It is 8:30 and no call. She also mentioned her being small for her age what that she should be on kitten food until a year old for the extra protein. I switched her to adult food about 2 months ago so I am feeling guilty and awful. :0( We pick her up around 10:00am tomorrow. I hope she is ok.

  5. I hope all has gone well for your sweet cat today.
My cat doesn't drink from her water bowl either. She drinks out of the goldfish bowl. I have a rather large one that sits down on a low table so my little neices can feed and watch the fish when they visit. 2 years later and Miss Luna has never bothered the fish...only drinks out of the bowl!

  6. Thank you Flora, she is doing really well this morning.
Mrs. Staggs, that is too funny about your kitty! I'll bet the goldfish were scared at first. LOL
