  1. Kelli, this is something that is sadly lacking in our society. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY... If we can teach that to our children they will be so much better off for it.

People are so sue happy these days. It is the restaurants fault that the coffee was so hot and spilled when I wasn't careful with my cup, etc. Preach it sister!!

  2. Kelli, that is a big pet peeve of mine. People who say they are going to do something and then don't do it. GRR! When the children see the parents doing things like that they will end up doing the same thing. Wonderful post!

  3. I remember getting in trouble one night with a doctor that I love & respect. It was because the nurse before me didn't do what she was suppose to do & I got the blame. I accepted responsibility for the mishap and did what needed to be done for the patient without explanation.I found out later that my supervisor explained to that doctor what really happened. I did not get an apology but I think I got more respect from that doc. As a nurse, it is never someone elses responsibility in regards to a patient. It is me, the one taking care of that person right then that is responsible! The world would be a better place if that was everyones practice! Thanks Kelli!
