I had a very small harvest from my lavender plant this year, not enough to make lavender wands so I made mini lavender bundles instead.
If you don't have any lavender, you could use flowers from your florist or grocery store that dry well.
I gathered up a few sprigs and tied them together with a bow. I also added a small gift tag.
I found the Victorian images at antiqueclipart.com and printed them out on cardstock.
They are the perfect size for adding to the top of a wrapped gift or using as place cards for a summertime dinner or tea party.
You could also tuck one into a letter for a friend, which is what I ended up doing!

I planted a lavender plant this summer, but it didn't bloom at all. It is still growing though, so maybe next year. Your lavender bundles are pretty!

Hi Kelli ~ I saw some lavender bundles recently at our local yarn shop's open house. They were $6 a bunch! So...you are adding a nice touch to your gifts or letters when you include some lavender.
Mine didn't do well this year with such a lack of rain. I'm planning on planting more lavender for next year and hopefully having enough for some bundles.

Those are so sweet and so simple. My lavender didn't grow much and didn't bloom. We haven't had rain, either. Hopefully next year I'll be able to harvest a little bit.

And the scent is wonderful! I did grow some lavender just outside my kitchen door and it was lovely but I didn't get it harvested. Perhaps next summer. By now it's too dry.
I want to plant a few Lavender plants out front for next year. Somewhere near the door so you can smell it as you come up to the door!

Lavender grows very well in the drought here so I should have some nice flowers this year to make same of these darling bunches, a very nice idear.

I have done them! Though, not as many. Seems you got a fair amount of lavendar out of your plants this year...I only got maybe 6-7 stalks.
Another thing I did with them, that you might like to do sometime, is to decorate your guest towels with them. You hang the towel and then fold the washcloth to become a pocket and stick a sprig or two in the pocket.
It is very elegant and makes my guests feel extra special!
