It has been an amazing five days since announcing Seasonal Delights. I wanted to say a big thank you to those who helped spread the news on their blogs. If I have not come by to personally thank you yet, please leave me a note in the comments so I can do so.
Also, thank you so much for all your wonderful comments and emails!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I put my summer decorations away until next year.
I also did some rearranging since I hope to start decorating for fall soon. First I moved my ivy cake plate that is on the left side of this shelf...
...and put it on top of the fridge.
Then I took this teacup stand that has been on my fireplace hearth...
...and moved it up to where the ivy plate was.
That left a spot for the first pumpkin of the year!
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
If you are a new visitor here, feel free to say hi, that way I can stop by your blog for a visit too!
I have been so blessed by your magazine this weekend. Thank you for the much needed inspiration, and fun projects for celebrating the fall season. I made my autumn garland today!
ReplyDeleteWow, the first pumpkin of the year! It's hard to believe that it's almost time for fall but I am definitely ready!

I am waiting impatiently for Fall to really get here. Being in the South it feels like forever before it really arrives.
ReplyDeleteHappy Decorating!
I found your magazine and then I came over to your blog. Both are so lovely. I will be back again many times I'm sure:-)
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Sommer
Since school just started for us here last week, I am just starting to let go of summer. I have so many fall decorations but don't usually put them out until the end of September. The leaves here don't start to really change until later either, although there is a fall breeze blowing today--the sun is out, but it has begun to lose its intensity. Lovely pumpkin--can't wait to get ours!

ReplyDeleteI am just starting to blog at blogger and stumbled across your blog. We have moved to a new home and I am so looking forward to making this house into a home that my DH can be proud of. thank you for all of the inspiration and the magazine. I have advertised it on a forum that I run and will be adding it to my blog this week.
ReplyDeleteMrs. B
I just wanted to say that I LOVE your magazine. Thank you so much for making it.
ReplyDeleteI love the way pumpkins look! They really make things look "fallish."
Hi, Kelli, Thanks for commenting on my fall finds. I went to Cracker Barrel specifically because you had mentioned the squirrel S&P shakers. I got a pair for myself and a pair for my giftaway, plus the fairies, plus the Autumn "Green Man". Also a couple of Halloween items, one for me and one for a giftaway. Hurray for CB! It's not that far from my house but I seldom go there. And their prices are not bad.

Lovely as alwyas, and like i said before, those tea cups were really making me nervous on the hearth with Fern the cat. I can rest easy now. ;0)
ReplyDeleteGreat pumpkin. I'm trying to get things spruced up and ready for fall decorating, too. It's still hot here, but it's starting to 'feel' a little more like fall~I'm looking forward to some crisp sunny days.
ReplyDeleteI'll just be glad for cooler weather!
ReplyDeleteKelli, I didn't leave a comment about the wonderful magazine after DL'ing it, so I decided to leave one on your blog letting you know how much I enjoyed it. How sweet of you and your spouse to share this with us!
ReplyDeleteAll these fall decorations are giving me the "bug" lol.....
It wouldn't be right for me to leave without telling you how much I admire your tea set on the fridge....pretty, pretty, pretty.
Speaking of pumpkins, I have 4 pumpkins I picked up on Wednesday that I need to bake and freeze for pies this winter. Along with all the apples and peaches I picked up, as well! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was my first peek at your wonderful blog...I will be back...Mary

I just found you through Starry Sky Ranch!!!! The e-zine looks beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteYou just have this magic touch with home decoration. It's inspiring to me, who can barely keep up with basic dusting and the constant reminders to the kids to put their stuff away. I love visiting your blog!

A pumpkin! Always so welcome. I love fall.
ReplyDeleteWell...your right time to put away ole summer...even if we dont want to. But fall is my favorite season....hayrides, pumpkin patches and apple cider. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe may not have many pumpkins in rain-starved Kentucky, so it was lovely to see yours!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season as well. Last evening I began an apron, today I'm hoping for some quiet crochet after church. We'll see, lol.
Thanks so very much for your lovely magazine! I just subscribed today and will promote it this week on my blog. Hope to "see" you there. Until then, blessings on you!

We've put away our summer things, as well.
ReplyDeleteThe girls and I LOVE your e-zine! It is delightful. We are already celebrating one of the September holidays - Hotdog Day is tomorrow! I grilled them today and we'll warm them up for a yummy lunch.
Dani is harvesting her wonderful "scarred" pumpkins this week (scarred with all of the names in our family along with a few other things such as "fall" and "harvest"). With temperatures still in the upper 90's I'm going to just store them for a bit!! I'll be stopping in to watch your fall decorations happening, though!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, LOVE the first edition of the e-zine!
You have a real knack for moving things around to get a new look. It is always charming.
ReplyDeleteHi! I have just come by and sure I will be back!
ReplyDeleteLove how you displayed your pumpkin! Simple, yet unexpected.
