Hello! Thank you for your comments on our Morning Room and dried roses. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and say hi!
Many of you know I'm a huge fan of baskets. I use them for all kinds of different things around the house. Last week, I spotted these three at the resale store for $1.00, so I brought them home.
The are the perfect size for lining with a napkin.
Adding a glass of cold milk.
And a couple of cookies!
I have made Heather's Oatmeal Cookies many times and they are always good. I added butterscotch chips and a few leftover chocolate chips that I needed to use up.
They are also the perfect size for a sandwich lunch out on the picnic table. I have a feeling these baskets will get lots of use this coming summer!
We've had three busy days in a row this week. I'm looking forward to an "at home" day. We will do our schoolwork in the morning, dust and vacuum the living room, laundry, and hopefully it will be dry enough to play outside in the afternoon. What is on your to-do list today?
Thursday is my dust and Vacuuming day too - for some reason we call it hoovering here not sure why :)

We have alot going on today...laundry, dusting and wiping down dirty finger prints on walls...and of course more laundry.
ReplyDeleteI'm still decluttering (after having cleaned the garage).
ReplyDeleteThe last time my daughter visited, she saw a couple of my "serving" baskets and the first thing she asked (before she unpacked) was if I'm sure I really needed them... as in, "can I have them"?
Of course, they went back to New England. It didn't take long for me to replace them from Goodwill and with four little kids, she can only get out to "tag sales" rarely.
Hi Kelli !
ReplyDeleteI found your blog some days ago and now, there's no day that I don't came for a visit, you have so much ideas...
I also love baskets..and they are so useful..since you can use they in many different way.
My to do list for today is laundry, laundry, laundry...since I have three beautiful daughters !
Many many greetings from Italy ;-)
...and sorry for my English...
Cinzia
I too enjoy baskets. All gets used to put yarn and projects in progress.
ReplyDeleteToday? I am having a bit of a headache so I plan on sucking down enough coffee to get that out of the way and then finish making the buttons to go on a sweater for my "Little China Doll" I will post a picture of the finished project tomorrow.
I had to smile when first reading your post because I love baskets too and have quite a collection already! Once again you have inspired me to try something new, and in such a charming way. Thanks for always brigthening my day, Kelli!
ReplyDeleteOops! I forgot to mention my to-do list for today. We have two appointments for the children, then I hope to get caught up on the laundry and plant some tomato seeds too. Enjoy your day at home!
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking, Kelli. Today we have OT for Grace and a doctor's appointment for Trevor's cough that has gone on for weeks. In between I hope to get to the grocery store, but that seems a bit ambitious. I love the trays.
ReplyDeleteJenn
Hey Friend, I have another trash to Treasure project to show you on the blog.
ReplyDeleteJeannie
sewing....that's on my list. I hope I get to it after school. :o)
ReplyDeleteI also love baskets for everything. I like that idea, Kelli, I might have to search for some like that.
Have a great day!
Good Morning, Kelli.
ReplyDeleteI've laundry, dusting, and dinner this day. I should start packing but I'm not sure what to bring still!
Blessings to your day!
Gina
Hi Kelli :)
ReplyDeleteI was at a store the other day and had seen some of those trays. I think I might have to go back and get some :)
Thank you for your prayers about the farmhouse.
rue :)
Today is the day our boat gets ready to sail.
ReplyDeleteKelli, I love the baskets. You know, you could even use them for sick trays when kids want some toast and tea in bed. Ive been looking off and on for some myself. Maybe Ill go to the resale place tomarrow.
ReplyDeleteget some rest today!
Christina
May I please come and live with you for a while? Pretty please! Your home is so welcoming with all the little extra touches that you add.
ReplyDeleteI am at work today and then after work I will be heading to the nursing home to celebrate my grandmothers 96th birthday.
Blessings
Linda
When I get home from work I hope to get the last of my planting done - it has been such a cold spring and I am already way behind.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty lunch basket ideas - what a sweet touch to make an ordinary lunch very special.
You know Hubby and I were just commenting to each other that food just tastes better outdoors!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to keep an eye out for these types of baskets!☺
Graet small baskets and perfect for the food snacks.
ReplyDeleteToo much to think about on the list today. I'm still playing catch-up. LOL
You have the most beautiful blog! I could look at it for hours!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun lunch! Kaia has taken to eating on the front porch lately. A basket like that would be great for traveling in and out.
ReplyDeleteWe have a beautiful day today (78 now, 85 is the expected high) and I'm stuck in the office trying to finish a report that is due. A bunch of numbers is all it is to me. Not the fun important stuff. At home I have to do dishes and laundry tonight (hubby's work shirts seem to have run off, I'm afraid they are all hiding under my dirty laundry hoping not to be cleaned).
Hope you have a beautiful day!
Thank you for visiting and your sweet comment, Cinzia! I hope you get caught up on your laundry, it seems to pile up non-stop around here. :0)

Hi Kelli - I love you baskets - I'm glad you are still oatmeal cookies - it's nice to know a cookie can help you fight cholesterol, right? Hee, Hee!
ReplyDeleteWe love baskets too! Last summer I found some wee plastic baskets at the dollar store for hot dogs - they are cheery and bright and get used quite often for lunches and snacks!
My schedule today includes school with the children, washing up a bit in the van, laundry, baking cookies, resting my neck and making more calls concerning our accident - and searching for tidbits of joy in my day!
What a charming Idea...using the baskets to serve lunch or snacks!
ReplyDeletethis is my day to drop donations at Salvation Army and browse the books.
Your blog gives us fresh and charming ideas every day... so good to come here...
ReplyDeleteYou made great use of those baskets. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli, I love your Victorian Morning porch. I wish I had a porch that looks like yours. Just stopping by to say hello. Take Care!
ReplyDeleteI just think it's so neat how you use trays and baskets to serve meals, snacks, etc.! I've never seen anyone do that! But maybe that's partly because most people I know well enough to eat with don't eat outside. I would like to try it sometime. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe perfect use for baskets! I have a few baskets of similar style hidden away in the attic. Now I know just what to do with them... thanks to you!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this idea. Baskets are so versatile, love 'em!
ReplyDeleteI've been away for a while so I guess I have some reading to do to catch up. :0)
Love the baskets.
ReplyDeleteMy "To do" list is always way too long since starting a full-time career eight years ago! I so loved the years I spent at home as a 'full time' wife and mommy.
I'm tackling that list today, so I better get moving. (laundry, cleaning, store, etc.)
What precious baskets, Kelli! They are so perfectly elegant for a picnic.
ReplyDeleteOh I used to have all kinds of baskets. I would get them at all at second hand shops. When we moved out of the country I gave them all away and I sure wish I did not. They are so hard to find here.
