Hello everyone! Thank you for the birthday wishes for Emily! We had a fun day and plan to have a get-together with Phillip's family this evening. My family went home this past Wednesday and I'm still getting used to the quiet. It's always hard when a fun vacation is over.
I have been spending all of my free time with our new puppy, Daisy. She certainly keeping us on our toes and seems to be getting bigger every day.
One of my favorite things is a rainy morning.
I love to sit on my patio with a cup of coffee and listen to the rain fall.
With a new puppy that has all changed though. Instead, I chase her out of the vegetable garden, over and over again.
No, you can't chew on the plant stakes.
Pouting in the grass.
She's not down for long though. The rain picks up and she races around the yard. Did I mention she also likes to jump in my water garden several times a day?
And then jump on the patio couch? Repeat all the above at least three times and that is how a usual morning goes around here. It's a good thing she's so cute! :0)
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
Oh she is SO cute!
ReplyDeleteWe went through the puppy stage a year and a half ago...but ours was even more unruly- her breed seems to want to chew and bite everything for awhile! Yours looks so much calmer! ;)
She is so cute when she's wet. I had a rainy morning as well. I woke up and found that most of the soil and pine chips had washed out of my flowerbeds.
ReplyDeleteWe spent the morning replacing the chips. The rain really batters my flowers but once the sun comes out the flowers should perk up.
Your new puppy is adorable! I love rainy morning as well. I really liked all the pictures you included in your post. The great thing about puppys and your dogs is that they keep us healhty. We get a lot of exercise chasing those little hooligans around LOL
ReplyDeleteI use to say that to my puppy too,Its a good thing your so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAnother year and Daisy will be as good as gold.
Diane

I want a puppy so bad, but then I remember what it like the first year or two! He is precious. It is true, cuteness is a good thing!!!
ReplyDeleteOh she is cute and definately spoiled already! lol
ReplyDeleteShe's cute, I have a golden too, she's so special. They are wonderful dogs, the best we have ever had.
ReplyDeleteHmm, i think that cutie would be outside! :0)
oh... she is SO cute!
ReplyDeletethey do enjoy chewing on wood and they LOVE the water. i'm surprised you have anything left in your garden. we bought two new bushes at the beginning of spring. our puppy (nearly 2 years old) chewed up one whole bush. good thing he's so cute =)
Sitting on my front porch in my rocker during a rain storm has become something I really enjoy. Even my 15-year-old son loves to join me!
ReplyDeleteYour puppy is as cute as can be. Who could resist that pouty face??
What a face!! Too cute! I was exhausted just reading about it all! LOL hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable! I know you all are in love with him!
ReplyDeleteWell, I hadn't been here when I made the comment about the puppy on the forum. Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteYep, it IS a good thing they are so cute. Otherwise we'd never make it through to dog-hood.
Oh, no! she goes in the water garden! Ours has a raised framework above the ground or ours probably would too. I wonder what the fish think!
Nancy
Oh, but just look into those gorgeous eyes!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have your hands full. She is adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, she is so cute and she does look like she is growing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie she is!
What a sweet puppy and a nice member to your family! We love our two little dogs. Your porch looks so nice and comfy too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie! Dogs can really keep you on the move. Sweet.
ReplyDeletelol, poor Kelli, you had me laughing all through that post. She is such a cute little mess though, isn't she. Keeps her mama very busy ~
ReplyDeleteBeen there do this, it will pass....someday! Daisy is so darn cute, she is a little heart breaker. Our Beagle LB is still digging up my bulbs, he just loves them. And eats the berries just as soon as they are pink...
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda like having a two year old. I hear the thunder rolling, we have a storm coming in tonight.
Hugs, Mary
I'm glad you posted today about Daisy. I was just wondering this afternoon how she was getting along. I just love those puppy dog eyes!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!! I love her eyes and cute looks. I hope Emily had a wonderful birthday and your celebration went well.
ReplyDeleteShe is so gorgeous !! Puppies can be so naughty but very sweet at the same time. She does love water, but that is because retrievers are water dogs, they love to swim ; )
ReplyDeleteHave a great day !!
How adorable! And I just love your little pond! I'm jealous, ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh we are living the same life!!! I am tellin' ya my puppy LOVES the vegetable garden when it rains to roll around and DIG in the wet mud!! I haven't lost my mind yet......then she runs like crazy around the yard and I am laughing at myself thinking ....I wonder if the neighbors are watching me try to catch her!! haha! Enjoy your pup as well, she is sooooooo cute, I just want to kiss that little face, they sure are sweet : )
ReplyDeleteLove,
kelly
Hi Kelli, Was blog hopping this morning and ended up at your wonderful blog and seeing Daisy. I have a golden and there's nothing like them. (except for the shedding). Love those soulful eyes, their big noses and mouths and their endearing personalities. Gentleness and always ready to party (go for a walk). I love rainy mornings too. Have a beautiful day. ~ Lynn
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute! We are on our second Golden grand-doggy.
ReplyDeleteI noticed you and I are both fond of Tasha Tudor. Did you know that she died Wednesday? Here is a post I did about her last night. Tash Tudor, May She Rest In Peace
Who could resist that sweet baby puppy face!! She's too too cute..
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday wishes for Emily..
Your garden looks lovely Kelli
xo
Happy belated Birthday to Emily!! I so enjoyed looking at all her special treasures...that time capsule will be so much fun to open when the time comes:-) Wouldn't it be neat to have all the same friends who put things in it, there when she opens it??
ReplyDeleteSuch a darling little puppy but they sure can keep you busy....just as bad as a toddler! lol xoxo
Happy Sunday :)
ReplyDeleteI've chosen you for an award, hop on over and check it out !!
Thanks,
Stephanie
She certainly is a doll! Our dog loves to get in the pond and get himself completely soaked. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteLOL! She's so beautiful...how could you not give her everything she wants with those big eyes! I love rain in the morning too!
ReplyDeleteAwe....she's so cute.....how can you get mad at her? LOL! She is a dolly doll! I love to listen to the rain too!
ReplyDelete:0) Sharon
I can't believe she's so big already!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable face.
ReplyDeleteWe have a cat and I am forever chasing her down to wipe off her paws when we bring her in. The only person she stands still for is DH. He can call her name and stand there with a rag. The cat comes over and lifts her paws up just waiting to get them cleaned.
God bless.
Cutie!
ReplyDeleteHi, she's soo sweet..! I only hope for you she doesn't still do this when she's 3 or 4 times the size she is now (as our Golden Retriever would do..!)..:)
ReplyDeleteKelli,
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I'm sending you a hug! I feel your pain/joy! Things are a bit better since I wrote yesterday. Tildy is learning and so are we!
I can't let her loose in the backyard as she is so small, she could get out under the fence and into the street. Plus we have a sweet little potting shed in the backyard.. A family of of ground hogs take residence underneath. They come out from time to time. I'd hate to have Tildy to in after them and never to come out. They are at least 10 times bigger than she is.
I'll say a prayer for you all and your Daisy. Things will get better!
Ah...what soulful eyes! Darling. Life can be interesting with a puppy.
ReplyDeleteThat is simply one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen! Have fun with her!
ReplyDeleteShe has to be the cutest puppy I have ever seen!
ReplyDeletePenny loves water too. Your pup is so cute, even wet and guilty looking!
ReplyDeletePS - Come over and enter my drawing for "Return to Fairyopolis". You and your girls would all love it.

Oh gosh Kelli, the look on your dear Daisy's face has made me laugh out loud! What a handful puppies can be, and what a delight too.
ReplyDeleteI love your garden and little pond. It looks like such a lovely place for children and puppies to explore.
One of my favorite times in late spring and summer are those days when the weather is warm enough to have the doors and windows open, but it's raining outside. I love the sound, and the smell. I light my candles and put some pretty music on, and enjoy all of it!
