Homemade Teacup Card

Cards
This homemade card was inspired by the lovely card that Marfa at This Life is Totally Scrumptious recently shared.

Card

Card
You will need a 4 x 5 1/2" notecard.

Paper
Cut an approx. 3 1/4" circle from coordinating scrapbook paper. I traced a spool of ribbon.

Paper
Trim off the top of the circle at 3" and the bottom at 2 1/4"

Card
Glue the bottom and sides to front of notecard.

Paper
Add a decorative stitch mark with a pen, if desired.

Card
Along with steam curls.

Card
Write "Enjoy life sip by sip, not gulp by gulp" at the top of card.

Tea
Tuck a teabag into the cup.

Card
Send to a friend. Let me know if you make one, too!

  3. Once again, I'm in awe of your creativity, Kelli!

I'm in charge this year of a "phantom tea" done by an organization to which I belong. It's a "non-event" where we send a letter and a teabag, asking members to stay home but send in a donation. I'm not wording it well here: it's very clever and is a successful fund-raiser for us.

I'm wondering how long it would take me to make 200 of your cards?? Wouldn’t that be fun??

    Thanks for sharing. :-)

  19. What a wonderful gift for a tea drinker. I imagine a small cocoa package would work well too. Or those small International Coffee packets.

    Thanks for the ideas!

  28. Oh Kelli, your teacup cards are so pretty! Well, I wish scrapbook paper would be available over here, too! You know, scrapbooking is still quite unknown over here in Germany and it's difficult to get supplies!

  30. what a super sweet idea. Also - loved the aprons you made for your girls! I made a bib apron for JF's (middle girl) "tech class" where they learn cooking and kitchen skills at school - it was a fabric of grapes and vines - I made it about 3 times too big at first and had to alter it though! :) That's what happens when I cut fabric "by eye" instead of measuring, LOL...
