This homemade card was inspired by the lovely card that Marfa at
This Life is Totally Scrumptious recently shared.
You will need a 4 x 5 1/2" notecard.
Cut an approx. 3 1/4" circle from coordinating scrapbook paper. I traced a spool of ribbon.
Trim off the top of the circle at 3" and the bottom at 2 1/4"
Glue the bottom and sides to front of notecard.
Add a decorative stitch mark with a pen, if desired.
Along with steam curls.
Write "Enjoy life sip by sip, not gulp by gulp" at the top of card.
Tuck a teabag into the cup.
Send to a friend. Let me know if you make one, too!
Those cards are simply adorable! The message is oh so true :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment you left on my blog, Kelli...I appreciated that :)
I know just the person who I'll be sending one of these to...my mother in love!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I'm in awe of your creativity, Kelli!
ReplyDeleteI'm in charge this year of a "phantom tea" done by an organization to which I belong. It's a "non-event" where we send a letter and a teabag, asking members to stay home but send in a donation. I'm not wording it well here: it's very clever and is a successful fund-raiser for us.
I'm wondering how long it would take me to make 200 of your cards?? Wouldn’t that be fun??
Thanks for sharing. :-)
What a cute idea. Thanks for the instructions.
ReplyDeleteVery cute--I LOVE your card ideas--thanks so much for sharing. Julie

ReplyDeleteKelli, you are so creative! I always get inspired when I visit your blog!
ReplyDeleteI like these better than the pricey store bought ones I have seen.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter made me one like this years ago for Mother's Day...
What a wonderful gift for a tea drinker. I imagine a small cocoa package would work well too. Or those small International Coffee packets.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ideas!
TJ
I love that card. It is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat would be perfect for a teachers gift. I love it.
ReplyDeleteCute idea! I love your card making day. Even tho I don't always make them I still like to look.
ReplyDeleteCute. Wish I had seen them earlier...I just finished making a teapot invitation for my dd's birthday...your idea would have worked too.

ReplyDeleteLove, Ann
I love tea and cards, what a wonderful little surprise this would be, I need to get busy while it's too hot to be outside :). Thanks Kelli for taking the time to share.
ReplyDeleteKathi :)
I'm a horrible commenter. So, today I just wanted to say how much I love stopping by your blog during the week. You share the best stuff. Crafts. Your home & garden. Cooking. Everything. Thanks for sharing it all with us. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea the card is. You have a very warm and homey blog. So nice to visit you.
ReplyDeleteOh Kelli, your teacup cards are so pretty! Well, I wish scrapbook paper would be available over here, too! You know, scrapbooking is still quite unknown over here in Germany and it's difficult to get supplies!
ReplyDeleteXoX, Anita
I LOVE 'em, Kelli! I got ONE email from you...
ReplyDeletewhat a super sweet idea. Also - loved the aprons you made for your girls! I made a bib apron for JF's (middle girl) "tech class" where they learn cooking and kitchen skills at school - it was a fabric of grapes and vines - I made it about 3 times too big at first and had to alter it though! :) That's what happens when I cut fabric "by eye" instead of measuring, LOL...
ReplyDeleteYes, I will make this card...it is really cute and fun. I have a friday lunch group and this week we have one of our ladies having a Birthday...great timing Kelli!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I just love your blog. Hugs, mary
I finished mine!
ReplyDeleteYou must have a quite a wonderful selection of stamps.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty words for your cards.
Blessings and thanks for sharing your ideas.
