Thank you so much for your sweet comments about my sunflower packets! Since I ended up with so many seeds I'm going to make some more this afternoon. Ginger asked if you have to do anything special to the seeds before eating them. Here are a couple of links I found:
Roasting Sunflower Seeds
Harvesting Sunflowers
I received some surprise gifts this week and would like to share them with you. I had asked my friend Nancy, from More Than Enough where she got her ATC (Artist Trading Card) supplies and she sent me a wonderful assortment of images.
Along with colorful paper and alphabet graphics.
She also gave me this beautiful ATC. I love the water lily!
You can see more of Nancy's work at her Never Enough ATC's blog.
My friend, Linda from LBP Sews sent me some autumn goodies.
A beautiful amber cake stand.
An acorn ornament to add to my collection.
Note cards and some pretty ribbon. Thank you so much Nancy and Linda!
We still have a bit of summer left, but now I'm really looking forward to my favorite season. I know many of you are getting ready for the upcoming school year. Are you enjoying these last few weeks of summer?
What lovely gifts you have received! I know you will make good use of the artwork in your lovely card creations! I am not quite ready for autumn yet - summer seems to have just begun, though the Fall Fair is in full swing, and our calender tells me things are starting up again and school is just around the corner!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing our best to savor the last days of summer! Today we had errands to run, but afterwards we used up our 'book credit' at the second hand book shoppe in town and munched on giant cookies from the bakery. This afternoon contented noses are happily ensconced in wonderful books and all is well.
I was worried about that cake plate getting there in one piece! Enjoy!

Lovely gifts! I know that you are looking forward to using them.
ReplyDeleteI love all the seasons for different reasons, but I love photographing fall best of all. It rarely gets cool here before Christmas, but it is still nice.

ReplyDeleteI bet you're itching to make something with all those beautiful papers and graphics! They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all the fall items. Here it is still pretty hot, so I don't feel like fall is in the air at all. We are getting ready for our first year of offical homeschooling though. :)
Kelli, you received some lovely gifts. I especially like the acorn ornament.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying these last few weeks of summer. School will be starting very soon and it will be back to work for me.
