Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
I am calling this a "Dreaming of Autumn" show and tell. I have a few new-to-me treasures to share with you today.
I spotted this pitcher at the resale store and the colors reminded me of autumn.
It's nice and sturdy and will be perfect for fresh apple cider.
I picked up these matching oversized mugs at Target. I plan on testing one out tomorrow with my morning coffee!
I love baskets and got this one at a yard sale for $2.00.
It has a lid and two handles.
I'm going to fill it up with pumpkins and gourds.
And finally, two rustic wooden bowls from Goodwill.
I arranged some candles in the middle.
And added these tiny pumpkin glass beads.
Now all we need are some crisp autumn days!
Thank you for looking at my show and tell!
Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate.

Those wooden bowls with the candles would be perfect for center pieces or just to put around the house during fall dinner parties. Another great idea from your blog! That's 2 today. I know I'm becoming a big stalker, but I love the ideas I've been getting from your blog.
ReplyDeleteIf I saw those wooden bowls at a thrift store, I would sniff and walk on by! ;-) You have a great eye for making things beautiful.

First I want to thank Kelli for such a wonderful way to share with others. This is my first Show & Tell Friday. Lucky, you finding those beautiful pumpkin beads - I'm a huge pumpkin person. The candle arrangement is outstanding. You Go Girl!
ReplyDeleteKelli I found myself going on an internet Fall vacation last night. I went all over...looking at Fall cabin rentals etc.....I also found myself counting the days until the "official" day of Fall!!! I love the items you bought...espc. those little glass pumpkins!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteNice post, but I'm not ready for autumn just yet. Sadly, the Canada Geese are around here. Just this past week, I've seen flocks of them in their V-formation, practicing for their trip south. Have a wonderful weekend.
I love the picnic basket! I have the same one. I inherited it from my favorite Aunt! We take it on all of our picnic!
ReplyDeleteI joined your show and tell this Friday! I'm excited to become a regular show and teller!
Love the pitcher. I have a wooden bowl too and I fill with seasonal things too. Sometimes however it just sits on the ottoman to hold the t.v.remotes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I love the little pumpkins!
The candles in the bowl with the pumpkin beads is just gorgeous!

Happy Weekend Show n Tellers!
You are definitely getting in the autumn mood. We usually have 100 degree temps. here in Ms. in August but this year has been unseasonably cooler. (all that global warming I guess) LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it's been much easier to hope for fall this year.
I love all of your goodies.
Kelli, I always love your creativity in taking simple things and making lovely arrangements of them. I don't think I have ever seen glass pumpkin beads like that. It's so pretty! And that pitcher looks just right for autumn. I hadn't been quite ready to think about autumn yet, reluctant to let go of summer, but now I am getting in the mood for it!
ReplyDeleteMine will be on my blog any minute! Thanks and have a very blessed holiday weekend! BTW, I love your show and tell! What I have to show is autumn theme, and I didn't even know that the theme for todays SNT! Funny how things just work out!
ReplyDeleteLove your post. I can not believe or don't want to believe that summer is almost over.
ReplyDeleteLove the pumkin beads and candles.
God Bless You
Those little glass pumpkins look wonderful in that wooden bowl. I have a wooden basket that looks almost *exactly* like your basket -- that I, too, got for $2 at a garage sale.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so nice, Kelli. I especially like the pumpkin beads with the candles.
ReplyDeleteI also love the picnic basket. Yesterday I saw the very same one in a thrift shop and passed it up. Now I am kicking myself. What was I thinking??? I may have to go back today. Most likely it will be gone, however.
Have a great weekend,
Kim

ReplyDeleteI feel stupid asking this, but what is a URL? I would like to do the Show n Tell, but I am not sure what to type in that place. Sorry, I'm not a computer whiz.
I love your idea about the candles in the bowl. You are so talented!

How your Fall finds were a feast for my eyes! I loved and enjoyed seeing everything! The wooden bowls with the candles and glass pumpkins--pure delight!
ReplyDeleteThe summer has flown by way too quickly for me and I rebelliously was not ready yet to put my summer decor away, (seems like I just got it out!)But your lovely displays are helping to get me in the mood again (I do love the Fall season also)!
Thanks Kelli!
Blessings to You!
Claudia O.
I'm feeling autumn in the air after reading your post. LOVE the mini pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteHey Kelli,
ReplyDeleteWe drove by you today. I thought of you. We went to Plano to a kid's consignment sale and bought some really cool stuff for the baby. We came home down Park Dr.(I think) anyway when we got to C. town I thought of you. Were your ears burning. I told my daughter about your Daisy and that sometime we will have to let the Daisy's meet and play.
Ya'll have a great weekend.
And thanks for coming over to see us today.
Smiles,
Sherry
Great finds. I love the pitcher.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteSorry my post today wasn't too much about autumn, except that my painting project my be finished this autumn!!
I'll be picturing you and your new mugs with your morning coffee tomorrow..I really like the shade of green. It would go nice with my sunflowers!
Thank you once again for hosting the Show & Tell. I always learn something new.
Kelli, you are putting me in the mood for Autumn. I like all your treasures...especially the wooden bowls with the candles and sweet little pumpkins...very pretty...hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI *love* those pumpkin beads! So lovely. (o:
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelli, for stopping by and saying such nice things.
ReplyDeleteI have not done a show and tell for so long. I will be happy to do it again when things calm down.
I love you cute display. It is so warm and cozy for fall. Hugs, Kathi
I did this a few days ago, because since we haven't had any summer yet.. I figured I might as well go ahead and decorate for fall.. and NOW it's sunny and 80 degrees.. and I'm sitting here in the midst of my pumpkins! *lol*
ReplyDeleteYour 'morning coffee cup' made me laugh though.. In italy a thing of that size would be concidered a FAMILY coffee pot.. they'd serve about 6 cups out of that ;) .. and I thought Dutch cups were 'large', but you Americans certainly beat us by another 50%!
greetings from holland!
I especially love the wooden bowls. The candles set into the jewel toned beads will look lovely come a cool, fall evening.
ReplyDeleteYou're getting me excited about fall. I'll bet I make a trip to the resale shop soon! These are all beautiful. Love the pumpkin beads and the basket. What a find for $2!
ReplyDeleteNancy
Yes that pitcher does scream Fall! And the little glass pumpkins are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI told the kids after today I am putting all my Fall stuff out, I love this time of year don't you??
I was thinking our new puppies will have a ton of leaf playing time, it will be the first time both of our girls experience leaves and then snow! Now that will be interesting!!!!
((hugs))
Kelly

ReplyDeleteIt is a chilly 69 degrees in our house right now and 49 outside. Kind of hard to think of summer decorations anymore so a very timely post.
