Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Hello! Today I am sharing a special picture that hangs above our front door. It was a gift from my parents when we moved into our house 9 years ago.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
It is a single sheet of paper and the border has been cut out in a delicate pattern of flowers, hearts and swirls.
Even the letters are tiny slits in the paper.
I also added a few autumn touches to my entryway.
Thank you for looking at my show and tell!
Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate.
If you would like to join in, please leave your *permalink* below, along with your first name only (this makes the list easier to read). If your link has been removed from Mr. Linky, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting. Have fun!
Such fabulous pictures!!! You put us all to shame! Have a great weekend!!

I love the wall hanging over the door. It looks a little like, and I do not think I am spelling this correctly, sharon che-neat-ta. Pronounce it the way I spelled it. I have done it at youth camps at church. Great craft for detailed children/youth, non detailed children/youth completely fall apart or bounce off the walls and need to be somewhere else. One of those occasions where I was glad I was not in charge. LOL!
ReplyDeleteKelli, I have something for you on my blog. When you get a chance, stop by and pick it up. :D I posted earlier this week to you, but it was post number 65 or something like that so you might not have gotten it.
Hi Kelli,

Your entryway is so welcoming! Thank you for sharing the pictures with us. :o)
ReplyDeleteThe frame your parents gave you is beautiful! Did they make it themselves? I've heard of Scherenschnitte before and have become interested in finding patterns lately so I could give it a try... if it's not too much trouble to ask, do you happen to know where the pattern is from or any other information about it? (If you don't know or don't have time to find out, I completely understand!)
I love this...you do open your door to blogland...and I love going to your home.
ReplyDeleteI just know you are having a wonderful fall.
Hugs, Mary
