Today, I'm sharing how I make coffee stained tags and paper. It's very simple and doesn't take a long time.

Get your paper and tags ready. If you are using tags, string them first.

Pour cold coffee in a 9 x 13 pan and soak your paper and tags for 5 minutes. Make sure they are completely submerged.

Let coffee drain from tags (I also run two fingers down the strings) and place on cookie sheet. They will darken as they dry.

Bake in a 225F oven for 3-5 minutes. As soon as the edges start to curl remove from oven. Keep a very close eye on them because this happens quickly. You can also leave the oven door open a little to watch. Remove tags or paper from pan and let cool and dry on a flat surface.

Once dry, put them under a heavy book until completely flat. That's it! I've been coffee staining quite a bit lately. Here are some things I've made...

Paris gift tags.

Bird stationery set.

Garden girl bookmark.
