Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Happy Friday! Today, I would like to share three of my special Bibles.
This small pink one was a gift from my mom and dad.
Back on Feb. 5, 1993.
This white Bible is in pretty rough shape, but it is still a special treasure that belonged to my great grandma.
This is my favorite Bible from my childhood.
I love the soft velvet dove on the front. My sister had a smaller red case with a velvet cross. I will have to see if she still has it.
I got the case when I was 7 years old! Thank you for looking at my show and tell! We are going on a weekend camping trip, so I'll be back with pictures of all our fun. Have a great weekend!
Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate.

ReplyDeleteI always love looking at peoples Bible's. Thanks for showing us your treasures Kelli! Sorry I messed the link up a bit, it is automatic that it puts in my web page and I forgot to fix it before I posted. But stop by and see the Forget-me-nots blooming at my house and a sweet tea cup that matches.
ReplyDeleteWhat special bibles you have kept! It is so nice to also have them dated on the inside.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time this weekend.
Lovely post today.

These are so special-thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great camping trip Kelli. Wow, those are some treasures you have there. I wish I could have been able to have my Grandmother's bible which she read daily. I think my uncle has it. I do have one bible that belonged to my son when he was in bible study. I'll always treasure that. Take care and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful treasures! I don't know what happened to one of my childhood Bibles, and the other I still have. My graduation gift from the elders and minister was a Women's Devotional Bible. I have it even after it was stolen from my vehicle, and dropped off in a nearby yard, and thankfully turned in to the church.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Awesome Show and Tell! I have something like that, too, and it means so much.
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Elizabeth

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have your childhood Bibles, and one that belonged to your great grandmother. That is something to treasure! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. We have Bibles from long ago, too and I love to look through them from time to time. The notes and comments written in them can be really great to read. Some are funny, some profound.
ReplyDeleteThey are treasures in more ways then one!
ReplyDeleteKelli,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Bibles. I was surprised to see your last name. My sister in law was a Wilkins in Ohio. Her family had a farm and horses. Her aunt was in my mom's room at the care center until recently. Do you think you might be related? I know my sister in law had a nephew in Texas.
How very sweet! I have old Bibles, as well, some dating back to the 1800's that belonged on my dad's side of the family. What treasures they are. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love the brown version with its own clasp and your name engraved on it.
ReplyDeleteAli @ Moon Garden
My Bibles have a special shelf all to themselves.
ReplyDeleteHave a great camping trip.
God bless.
How wonderful that you still have bibles from when you were a child and also to have one that belonged to your grandma! I have one that belonged to my mom when she was a child and I treasure it:-) Hope you had a wonderful weekend camping, can't wait to see pictures! xoxo

ReplyDeleteI have a big Big BIG bible from my great grandma,I think I'll show it next week! Yours are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have my Grandmommy's Bible, it has so much in it...things I scribbled and flowers I picked her.
ReplyDeleteYour little pink Bible is like the ones I gave my children. Trevor's is Blue, Cory's is tan and Jenny's is white.
I have many Bibles, my favorite is a soft cover study Bible that I used as a teacher in camps and retreats. It is not pretty because it is well used. But it has been in the hands of many youth as we learn together.
Hugs, Mary
