Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Happy Friday! Today, I am sharing a couple of Mother's Day gifts. The girls and Benjamin know how much I love squirrels, so they gave me these sweet iron critters.
Aren't they cute?!
I also received a surprise package from my friend Debbi, who comments regularly.
A beautiful handmade card.
And this wonderful pink sunbonnet sue hankie!
I love all of the crocheted lace! Thank you for taking a look at my special Mother's Day gifts. Have a wonderful weekend!

The little cast iron squirrels are beyond cute and I adore your Sun Bonnet Sue hankie. I have a rather large vintige hankie collection that was left to me by my grandmother. May be I can get around to sharing it with you next week.

Apparently you too were spoiled for Mother's day ! the little squirrels are really cute !
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! I saw some vintage squirrels at a thrift store today. I thought about buying them but didn't know where I'd put them and they looked a bit fragile to put outside.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kelli - I love the squirrels the best! Aren't they adorable animals? We don't really have any...Well, we have ground squirrels in the mountains, but they look more like prairie dogs. I miss all the squirrels back East. Love to feed them corn (but hate how they stole the bird seed!!). Rascals!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Elizabeth

Oh my goodness Kelli, I have a something just like your Sunbonnet Sue hankie in yellow or blue (now I can't remember)... although mine is a bit thicker and looks like it was meant to be a wall hanging.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you received some wonderful gifts full of love.
I'm sharing my growing belly, and I talked about the shirt just to make sure I was following all the rules.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Those squirrels are super cute!
ReplyDeleteI feel a little weird, as I barely know you, but I thought I should tell you that I gave you an award on my blog. Your paper-crafting posts have been very inspiring for me, as I'd been in a bit of a crafting funk. So, thanks!
Also, I thought of you as I read the paper this morning. The Dallas Morning News mentioned the Etsy Dallas Spring Bash that goes on in Dallas this Saturday. Had to check the list (bashvendors.blogspot.com) to see if you were on it!
Awwww, Kelli, those little iron squirrels are just precious, the kids couldn't have given you anything more perfect:-) Also love the card and darling hankie that Debbi sent you!! Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend. xoxo

How sweet! I should post about what my DH gave me. It is a sea turtle necklace..which was special since we got to see the baby rescued sea turtles released to the ocean last year.
ReplyDeleteLove your little squirrels!
Very cute squirrels! Sorry that I added more than my name to my link. :0) I love the hankie too!

Those squirrels are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe vintage hankie is great. I do wish I learned how to crochet when I was younger.
Thanks for sharing.
God bless.
Love that little hankie. Can you imagine putting that much work into a hankie? Whew....times have sure changed. My grandmother had crocheted edges on all of her sheets, towels and washcloths. Unbelievable. I used them until they were way too pooped out because I loved them so much.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and smiles,
Spencer
