I love Victoria's blue and white issues.
Freshly mopped floor.
Beautiful peonies from the grocery store.
Bacon, cheese and parsley (from the garden) quiche for dinner.

Kelli, I think your blog exemplifies that quote. I love how you make those "simple little pleasures" seem so beautiful and joyful.

ReplyDeleteReading your blog is one of my simple little pleasures! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely the little and simple things, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI hope you can post that recipe for the quiche, it looks so yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteThat quiche looks sooo good. Post the recipe please. I subscribed to Victoria magazine this year & I have really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI like freshly mopped floors too - I just wish they'd stay that way for more than a few minutes!
This was a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things.

Oh boy that quiche looks great. I'm going back right now to look at it. Flowers are beautiful. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt is always the simple things that give us the most pleasure: a call from a loved one, a note from a friend, a beautiful sunrise or sunset, a smile,....... You could just go on and on couldn't you? Thanks for the lovely pictures and your sweet blog.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! Isn't it so true!?
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of this other quote:
Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

The Cherries make my mouth water....
ReplyDeleteHave you tried that Buttermilk Blueberry Shortcake recipe, featured on the cover? It is AWESOME! I just made it the other day. It was surprisingly easy to make. Now it's time for me to go back on my diet. :-D
ReplyDeleteI so agree with that quote! And your photos go perfectly with that theme:) Love, love, love peonies!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Tuesday:)

Beautiful pictures! I love the bowl of fresh cherries! :)
ReplyDeleteI am in Michigan and the peonies in my yard are slowly opening. It might be a week or 2 before they are fully open. I love peonies!
ReplyDeleteI also love Victoria magazines and I have all of the old issues from 1989 to 2000. After Nancy Lindemeyer left in 2000, I did not subscribe to the new Victoria magazines. These did not appeal to me.
you forgot the cherries :O)- they look absolutely scrumptious! your quiche looks delicious, too!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so good. Yum, thanks for sharing.

I always enjoy your "simple pleasures" posts. It make me realize all the simple pleasures I have right here at home. Until I became a follower of you blog didn't really notice the small things.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Debbi
I really liked your quote as well. Really makes sense to me. The quiche looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWith the cherries, the peonies, which I love so much and the quiche. I am ready to come for dinner! I never had a quiche, well the little frozen one, I did not care for. Yours looks wonderful! Is it hard to make? I think you should do a post where you make up a menu for the week and have a grocery list for all the ingredients needed. I use to do this when I cooked 3 meals a day. I would love to start back cooking! Maybe another meme for Meals For The Week!
ReplyDeleteYummy...quiche....hmmm!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful pictures Kelli! I especially love the peonies with the asparagus fern. Pretty enough to frame!
That quiche looks so tasty!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of a freshly mopped floor. Right now I would love to see my floor, but it is so dirty... Someday.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
