Phillip was out of town for a few days last week so I was able to work on my bedroom re-do and surprise him with it when he got home.
As a reminder, here is what my bedroom looked like last week...
Here it is today...
Another view...I already had the picture so I put it up instead of the white netting.
The comforter set came with two King size pillow shams. I used one for the bed and I took apart the other one and made nightstand covers.
My writing desk...
A view of the corner window...
I tried to re-decorate frugally and on somewhat of a budget. Here are the new things I got...
-1 King size comforter with shams (our bed is queen but I like the extra length on the sides)
-3 curtain rods
-6 sheer curtain panels
-1 King size pillow
-2 throw pillows
-2 regular pillow cases
-2 lamp shades
All for $1,494.58. Just kidding! ;0) Real total: $125.00.
I am really happy with the new look! A big thank you to Revee who helped me with the colors this past Friday. She suggested using the sage green found in the comforter for the curtains and I think it really softens up the color of the walls.
Thank you for looking at my bedroom makeover!!

ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous! I really like the picture replacing the netting. You did a great job. It is kind of like that makeover show where they copy the real expensive room for a lot less cost. That's what you've done. You go girl!

ReplyDeleteOh, forgot to say you had my mouth drop open with your first total. I thought you needed to go on tv and have them help you with the decorating on a shoestring or whatever it is. Funny!
ReplyDeleteOh, so peaceful looking, Kelli. You have made such a restful retreat for you and your sweetie!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Kelli!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. It looks restful and peaceful--green was just the right touch! I agree on getting the king size for a queen bed. We did that with a queen size bed that is now in our guest room.

ReplyDeleteLove it, I bet hubby did too!

Kelli ~ your room looks great! It's a fascinating study in color to me because your comforter looks so different to me than mine simply because of the colors we've surrounded it with. I also agree with Corin - it makes your walls look like a different color than before. Great job on the room at a great price! :o)
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom looks so warm and inviting. I really need to redo mine, but just can't seem to decide on new colors.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing pictures of your house. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Love your blog!
