4th of July Decorations

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. I spent some time putting out my 4th of July decorations. I will leave most of them up through the summer.

Door hanger
I found this door hanger at Hobby Lobby (patriotic decorations are 30% off!). I filled it with greenery, daisies and small flags.

Lanterns
Small pail lanterns line our walkway.

Flag
Flags in the flower pots.

Table
I made this table runner last year and my anniversary roses match perfectly. They probably won't last until Friday though, so I'll get some fresh daisies.

Runner
For the table runner I cut a strip of fabric with pinking shears and hot glued some pom-pom trim to the ends.

BannerSome of you will remember this patriotic banner I made last week.

Table
I put the leftover table runner fabric on the back patio table.

Centerpiece
The centerpiece is a silver tray with various jars filled white beans. The "sparkers" are actually straws with the tops cut off.

Beans
Star confetti.

Ornament
Thank you for looking at my patriotic decorations! We are having a 4th of July cook-out with Phillip's family and some friends from church. We will be busy this week getting ready for all the fun. I hope you have a great start to your week!

  6. I really enjoyed seeing your patriotic decor. It makes me feel guilty because I had decided to skip putting mine up this year since we have been so busy. I may have to rethink that! Dianntha

  12. What a nice idea to post 4th of July decorations. They look great! I love the 4th of July! Our little town has a parade each year. We walk up the block and sit down in lawn chairs and watch the parade pass by! :)

  34. The only holiday I really decorate for is Christmas. I may put a few things up for Thanksgiving but other than that I don't *do* the other holidays. Just not my thing.

I have all kinds of red, white, and blue stuff from when my hubby came home from Iraq I could have sent you! Oh well, the movers packed it and it's gone somewhere. :-)

God Bless You! Hope you are having a good week!

Everytime I see a picture of your china I have to run into my dining room and take a plate to the computer and compare. No, they are not exactly the same, but extremely close and very much from the same era I'm sure.

My china is my mother-in-law's, who was married in the '40s. It has the same colors and style as yours. And BTW, our china hutches are of the same style too. Yours is a bit bigger, but they are the same design, probably the same company. Isn't that fun???

Your 4th decor is lovely. You have done a grat job of showing your patriotism. I am asuming you celebrated Canada Day earlier this week? I think I remember that you are from their originally.
