This week's card is quick and easy to put together and you can get lot of different looks, depending on the paper and stickers you use.
You will need a 5 1/2" x 4" notecard.
When I use dark cardstock, I add a piece of white paper to the inside, for my message.
Cut two strips of paper:
-5 1/2" x 1"
-4" x 1"
Glue to front of card, as shown.
I'm using a sticker for my main embellishment.
I added a piece of adhesive foam strip to the back.
It slightly raises the image. You can find the strips in the scrapbook section of Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Walmart.
Cut a 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" rectangle of cardstock or scrapbook paper. I cut the edges with decorative scissors and dabbed them with an ink pad.
Attach to front of card, as shown.
Finally, I added a gold bow.
Send to a friend!
A Happy Birthday version.
Instead of a sticker, I used a circle of scrapbook paper, with pink ink around the edges.
~More Homemade Cards~
Here are a few other things I made this week...
Gingerbread boy tags
Flower tags
Butterfly glitter tags
Items can be found in my Etsy Shop.
Thank you for taking a look!

Next Thursday, I will draw two of the names and the winners will receive supplies for a homemade card: blank notecard, envelope, and an assortment of scrapbook paper, stickers (or stamped images), and ribbon. Thank you for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteLove the gingerbread tags! Looking forward to the Giving thanks week Kelli.
ReplyDeleteHow much extra postage does it take to mail a card like the Christmas one? I love the looks of it but our post office is very picky about accepting a bulky envelope for mailing so I usually have to drive to another one, if I have a bulky card to mail.
ReplyDeleteI love all the home made cards and I may follow along and sign in. Also like the fall decorations in your beautiful home. Do the children make the cards to?
ReplyDeleteLoved your cards and especially the tags. Gingerbread men are one of my favorite things about Christmas. Thanks for sharing. Julie
