Weekend Chit-Chat

Hello! I'm so glad the weekend is here. I had a busy week and finally got down all of our Christmas decorations. Remind me to get an artificial tree next year, I had pine needles everywhere! This past Thursday evening, my sister-in-law and I went to my monthly neighborhood Bunco game. Have you ever played? It's lots of fun.

I took fruit salad, banana bread, lemon tea bread, and chocolate truffles (thank you Whole Foods!).

We don't have any major plans for the weekend. Grace is having a couple of friends over and I'm going antique shopping with a friend on Monday. I'll be sure to share pictures if I find any new treasures. Until next time...

Love your cake selection and the fruit salad reminds me of the one I am going to make tomorrow morning. It will be dessert with home made vanilla bean icecream. I always enjoy reading your blog. Missed you when you were away for a few months. I am having relatives over for lunch tomorrow so all day has been spent preparing. I don't eat any preservatives etc so everything is made from scratch and quite a few things come from my husband's vegie patch. Have a good weekend too.

I had never heard of Bunco so I googled it. Sounds like a lot of fun. My Aunt Helen used to have a Bridge party with her lady friends once a month. Sounds similar. Mom

Your fruit salad and other treats look delicious, Kelli! We had a nice though low-key weekend (my hubby had to work on Saturday morning), and now this afternoon we are going to work together on taking down the Christmas tree. Snowmen, snowflakes, winter villages, icicles, etc. will stay around for a good while yet. It is around 0ยบ up here today.

Sounds like a fun, yet productive, weekend. Your salad and bread look delicious! I started a Bunco group last year and we have a great time together! Glad you're back blogging!

The only way Planet Earth will achieve sustainability is if we "take out the trash" and the gods allow the most disfavored among us to be terminated by eliminating reincarnation for those individuals. The bouy is sinking, social decay is becoming ruinous and unless it begins to rise to the surface the gods will get their way and life will end on Planet Earth.
