Handmade Cards ~ Paper Crafting Wednesday!

The winners of last week's paper crafting are Deborah and Penni. Please email me your addresses and I'll get your prizes in the mail!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments on my new adventure! I appreciate you celebrating with me!

Mother's Day Card
Here is this week's handmade card project. Remember, you can use any kind of paper, stamps, or stickers.

You will need a 5 1/2" x 4" blank notecard. I shaded the edges of mine with a foam ink pad.

Cover with 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" rectangle of scrapbook paper.

Cut a 5" x 2" strip of matching scrapbook paper. Cut the bottom edge, as shown.

Glue to card.

Cut an approx. 3" circle (the size will depend on your stamp or sticker) and a 3 1/2" x 3/4" strip of cardstock. Trim ends, as shown.

Glue to card. I also added tiny pink gems. Send to a friend!

Paper Craft Fun: Post any kind of paper craft (card, bookmark, tag, banner, journal, etc.) on your blog between now and next week and come sign Mr. Linky. Next Wednesday, I will draw two of the names and the winners will receive supplies for a homemade card: blank notecard, envelope, and an assortment of scrapbook paper, stickers (or stamped images), and ribbon. Link back here in your post, so that others will know where to join in the fun, too!

Links are now closed. Please join us next week!

Your cards are always so nice. Do you have a book of patterns that you follow or do you come up with these ideas on your own? I recently found a website that has weekly card sketches that give you ideas for how to position the elements on your card. Here's the url
Your instructions are also very helpful for me because I can use your pattern as a guide.
Both are helpful for a beginner like me.
