Good morning! I hope you had a good weekend. A few weeks ago, we had friends over for dinner. Grace did a wonderful job setting the table and the centerpiece is our three tiered platter with lots of different seashells.
I made a salad with romaine, red and green peppers, green onions, cucumber, grape tomatoes and black olives.
Right before dinner I added feta cheese and a romano basil dressing.
Phillip grilled chicken and we also had sour dough bread.
We ended the meal with strawberries, peaches, and blueberries or vanilla ice cream. It was quick and easy, and no one had to spend all day in the kitchen!
It is supposed to be cooler this week, but I'm still glad we are finished with swim lessons. I have several things on my weekly to-do list: vet appointment for Daisy, renew drivers license, menu plan and grocery shop. Thank you for stopping by for a visit. I hope you have a great start to your week!

That salad looks GREAT. Aren't easy meals sometimes the best?
I hope you have a nice week! We start swimming lessons today. :-)
I love your company summer menu!
We have houseguests coming, that would be a wonderful lunch for us tomorrow!!!
Oh that fruit looks yummy, Kelli! Your daughter did a lovely job on the centerpiece- inherited her mom's creativity:)
Have a wonderful week!
The table and the menu look gorgeous. I love the sea shells, so pretty as the centerpiece and the salads look wonderful. So yummy. Hugs, Marty
I don't have an exact recipe. Just the vegetables I mentioned, feta cheese and Wishbone Romano Basil dressing. Italian would work great, too!
That is a lovely table setting and nice-looking dinner, too. It's neat when everyone chips in.
YUM! and beautfiul too!
Your salad looks delicious!! I will have to try this one. Where did you get the dressing or did you make it?
Thank you for sharing! -nancy
I almost thought the shells were cookies. The table looks beautiful and food sounds scrumptious.

Oh Kelli~your salad and fruit looks delish! I am so hungry, too...just realized I haven't eaten lunch~~oops!
Have a marvelous Monday!
This is the perfect summer time lunch, plus it makes it so nice to sit and enjoy your visit with friends, and the clean up will be minimal! Fantastic!!
We're all about salads right now too. It is just too hot to cook. It's been in the 3 digits and supposed to be that today as well. Your salad looks great. I pretty much make it like that but don't put olives, I put sliced apples. Have a great week Kelli.
That looks so very delicious!
Good luck with all your chores.
Yum, that salad and dessert both look so good! Everything does, and pretty too, of course.
Kelli, I didn't post a Show & Tell on Friday because of my problem with the computer but visited a bunch of folks who did.
That salad reminds me of a greek one I buy at the NY Deli some times. With warm bread, chicken and dessert, it is just the kind of summer meal we all need to eat.
Wow Kelli...your pictures are so clear I could reach in my computer and grab a bite ;D
Your table and dinner looks wonderful! I have the same drinking glasses as you! Sounds like you had a great time. Take care!
How is it that everything on your blog always looks so beautiful?! The salad looks healthy and delicious! I might just try it myself. As always, thanks for sharing.

That salad looks delicious! I'm going to be making that soon.
What beautiful looking and sounding foods. I may copy these for next summer's family get-together at the lake; I've been needing some fresh ideas.
We did swim lessons for Miller too. He did really well for his first time. They are 2 weeks long...I kind of missed going to them yesterday...lol. Now its time to get ready for back to school....summer is slowly coming to an end...kind of sad.
Your salad looked great.

Perfect ending to a lovely meal shared with friends...fresh berries.
The salad looks and sounds wonderful. It is dark but I would like to pick some lettuce from my garden. I already have the cucumber, black olives, tomatoes and green pepper. Also, I picked some fresh basil which smells great. Thank you for sharing.
You do have a busy week! I hope you have some quiet time scheduled as well.
What a wonderful summertime meal, it is really pretty too. Yummy!
I always enjoy the spirit of your blog. Thank you so much for your inspiration. :0)
