Blueberries Napkins and Bread

Bread
Good morning! We are on our third rainy day here in Texas and are all taking turns having sore throats and coughs. School will be starting soon and I'm taking advantage of my extra free time to finish up some sewing projects.

Magazine
I really liked these blueberry stamps in the recent Martha Stewart magazine.

Napkins
So, I made a set of 8 tea sized napkins.

Paint
All you need is fabric paint and a couple or corks.

Blueberries
Here are the complete instructions if you would like to give them a try: Blueberry Fabric Stamps.

Napkins
I let the paint dry over night, then hemmed the edges.

Bread
Speaking of blueberries, I made Mrs. H's Blueberry Quick Bread with Vanilla Sauce this past Friday when my friend, Revee and her girls came over for a visit. I had plenty of leftover blueberries, so I made another loaf yesterday.

Bread
The vanilla sauce is a delicious topping.

Bread
Thank you for stopping by and a special thank you to all who have entered my giveaway! I hope you are having a wonderful week.

What a cute project - those really look like blueberries, too!
The bread looks soooooo good. I wish we'd taken that excursion to pick blueberries that we talked about!

That looks like so much fun! I love the way the cork prints onto the fabric.

That sauce and bread looks so yummy! We too are getting rain and thunderstorms, which is a nice break from the 103 degree weather. I may finally be able to turn on the oven and cook up some of those blueberries we picked. I think the bread with sauce would be a big hit at our house.

The tea napkins are so cute. Are tea napkins smaller than regular napkins? If so, do you know where I can find some. I am looking for smaller dainty napkins.

Thanks,
Joan

Oh, I'm so sorry y'all are struggling with sickness. Hope everybody is back to being perky by the time school starts.

I love blueberries; our dining room windows and d.r. seats covers were all blueberries on a black background before we moved. The chairs have since been recovered and the blueberries just don't work now - *sigh*!

Your napkins look awesome - by the way. lol I got sidetracked down memory lane.

Kelli, I really liked the looks of that blueberry bread, soo, I went out and got the needed ingredents tonight....I'm not much of a baker, I enjoy cooking much better, but this looked so good and easy....well, it's in the oven cooking right now, however, dumb me..I wasn't paying attention and put the cornstarch in with the flour!! Yikes!! I realize that after reviewing the receipe and the bread in the oven!! Let ya know what happens, however, I have more berries in the fridge to redo..Rita' friend Sherrie (I'm the SA she mentions from time to time....)I'm no baker....

How do stay so creative and energetic? I get brainstorms but the creativity clouds rain on you all the time. You amaze me!

I love blueberries and truly enjoy picking them...although I haven't picked a single berry since the yellow jacket attack in July! I can't wait to try this recipe. I usually make a blueberry pound cake with mine or blueberry cobbler during winter.

Again another delightful idea! I have to try your vanila sauce. I love bb muffins but don't tend to eat them all I bet this sauce would be great! Thanks again for sharing. I love the napkins. I use cloth everyday. I have been thinking of a Show and Tell. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
Have a great day.
Smiles,
Sherry

I did make the blueberry bread last night. I said I would let you know how it turned out, since I put the tbls. of cornstarch in the batter and it was suppose to go in the sauce...geez, if I were a regular baker, I would of asked, Why am I putting cornstarch in the bread batter, hmmmmmmm. My fiance' said if was delicious, but I am making another today, so I know what it really is suppose to be like. It really didn't seem to hurt the bread so much...from an inexperienced baker, Sherrie (SA)
