Valentine's Day Decorations

Thank you for the wonderful birthday wishes and to all who participated in Show and Tell Friday! This weekend, I spent a little time putting up Valentine decorations, but kept them very simple.
Tea cup shelf
I tucked in pink hydrangeas (from Michaels) on my teacup shelves. I will leave them up all the way through spring.

Flowers

Kitchen
I decorated my tea tray with a pink candle, ribbon and rose petals.

And finally, tulips and candles for my kitchen table centerpiece. The tulips were a birthday gift from my friend. They probably won't last all the way until Saturday, so I will pick up some more at the grocery store.

Thank you for taking a look at my simple Valentine decorations. I'm sure we'll add some candy by the end of the week. :0)

Hi Kelli,

For some reason my computer is having a very hard time uploading anything this evening, especially pictures. so, I was only able to look at your first one. It is simply lovely. Your decorating is beautiful, Kelli, and I always enjoy seeing the things that you have created or your things put together into creations of your own hands--just how the Lord would have us do it. So simple, so plain, so back-to-basic, so beautiful.

The Lord's Blessings to you today, Kelli for inspiring all of us. :)

Kelli, it's good to see how passionate you are about your life and how you beautify every aspect of it. Please take a look at my blog to view the most magnificent photograph you will probably ever see. One of a Cheetah being stroked. kittilover.blogspot.com

It's always amazing for me to see how much you people from the States loves to decorate your homes for festivities. Here in Italy we do it only at Christmas (and some really goes too far in that). I like the idea of "changing clothes" to a home according to the season very much, and thanks to your blog (and many others' I found through it) I'm learning how to do it! Thanks for always be one of the best inspirations.

Tulips from Amsterdam, hehe ;)

A Dutch tip on keeping your tulips good for longer: throw in a nickel (in the vase, that is.)

the copper will keep them from growing too long and will keep them good longer..

Greetings from the netherlands!

If you put your tulips out on the porch in the cool night air they last longer. Tulips are grown here in the valley and the growers gave me this tip for helping them last.

How pretty. I will have to be content with just removing the dust from surfaces and having a new look that way!!! Mind you, one of the benefits of living in a dark old farmhouse is that the dust only shows when the sun shines . . . which it isn't much at the moment : )

Hi Kelli,

These pics are so pretty. I love looking around your blog. We lived in Texas for years and homeschooled our girls. Our youngest graduated last year. Texas is a great state for homeschooling! I too missed my family though and we moved back to Missouri to be with them.

I like how you are doing the Friday show and tell on your blog and you have been an inspiration to me. And I want to give back to those who have helped me.
I am a "Giver" and love to bless others, so this week I'm hosting my first "Friday Giveaway." It's my way of saying thank you to all my blogging friends.
If you would like to enter go to

Hi Kelli
Your Valentine decorations are beautiful. I love hydrangeas. My parents had a beautiful blue hydrangea at their old house. Passers by would ask to take cuttings from it.
